Kingdom of Jerusalem, from the 3rd crusade bookmark. The kingdom is gavelkind and King Guy has 3 daughters, so on his death Queen Alice has only Jerusalem's county to her name. Fine. However, Queen Alice's sisters all married nearby Orthodox Greeks, hoping for alliances. So now I ask:

1) If I have medium crown authority, and ergo "free revocation of titles from infidels", are Orthodox infidels?
2) My baby greek orthodox nephews who already hold provinces in my realm are also heirs to dukedoms in the Byzantine Empire. Will they become Byzantine vassals upon inheritance of the Duke title, or will they remain my vassals?

Oh, also:

3) I read here somewhere that there had been changes to the way characters adopt the cultures of their educators, with the release of RoI. This is relevant because I'd like to breed some Levantine Kings and Egyptian Copt Queens. What, if any, where these changes?

If the character(educator) is not landed, it will default to the liege's culture and religion. Meaning if you want to become a different culture or religion, land the educator first and the child has the same chance as before the patch to convert.

Take it with a grain of salt because I am not certain, but I think they are vassals of the first/primary title, meaning if they already have duchies (are landed) in your empire they will be your vassals and simply inherit titles in Byz. However I believe they switch to the most prestigious one and drag the inferiors with them. Etc if you have a vassal that is a duke and inherits a kingdom he will become a king holding the duchy.

1) Towards Catholics? I believe the answer is "no." They are considered tolerated heretics, a minor opinion penalty (called "Religious Differences" ... though they can still suffer from the zealot penalty) but no holy wars and no title revocation. Infidels means different religious group (Muslim, Christian, Zoroastrian, Jewish, Indian, Pagan).
2) Unless I misremember, this is a possibility, yes. If they are already Dukes in your realm, though, you will benefit -- Dukes gaining new Dukedoms will stay. If you raise crown authority to high and they would otherwise leave, they cannot, and they will be disinherited from the other title in some cases.

Pilot00 and Tom013 - thank you.

It seems, then, my best bet is to give these kids some Duke-level titles, and hope the Byzantines don't have High Crown authority.

It's actually a rather neat way to enlarge your Kingdom by marriage, using normal marriages.

Yes, but if yours are landed already the possibilty of establishing such a marriages leasens, you get a political consearns malus that pretty much means NO.
I usually marry to the third son/daughter of the title i want to inherit under the appropriate condition (matrilineal or no) that helps placing my dynasty in control of said title and then when he/she inherits I propose vassalization. You need to be of higher rank and have good relations though.

Indeed, I do the same. In this case, however, the circunstances seem favourable to adquiring this territory even though my dynasty did not take control of it (women married normally). Then again, this only happened because you can't give your daughters any titles, even under Gavelkind, leading to absurd random inheritances.

Should I take concubines as unreformed norse?
Whenever I do, I just get 1000 children and my heir inherits 1 county.

Yes. Strategically: If you are old without a male heir, or if your wife is too old to have more children and you have no male heir. Also, if you have no heir at all it may be wise.
Non-strategically: Some people just like to watch their realm burn!

Also, if you kidnapped the daughter of someone whose land you want to snatch. Your sons will be heirs and under your control.

Question about culture spread:

Does culture spread from the top liege down, as in a Norman duke of Normandy with regularized Norman vassals but Frankish/Dutch counties and a Dutch king of Frisia as his leige?

None of those counties would ever convert culture, because in order for a county to change culture the character holding it needs to be of the same culture as the top liege.
