Quick question on adventurers, why can I not do legally imprison a courtier in my realm that announced he was going to invade me? Is that not straight up treason? Yet I get the tyrant penalty for arresting him. (and my little kingdom was way to small to fight off an adventurer sized army, so I didn't have any choice since my plots to kill him failed)

I sorta think something is fishy/buggy about that as I then got the "Sir invadesalot(not his real name) is setting off to claim his own realm" , and your only response is "well good luck with that". Except it was ME he was invading heh.

This is a common complaint. And I think it's commonly agreed that, at the very least, these would-be invaders should have to flee your court (even if it's somewhere else in your realm). For the time being, though... Your own brother can get pissy and invade you from your own realm without fleeing your own court, even sitting next to you at council meetings. It's dumb. The best way to get rid of this kind of crap at the moment is to grant them a temple or barony or town. They can't be an adventurer if they are landed.

"Oh, hi brother. Yeah, I know, I'm gathering an army in the city. Yah, it's to kick you out. But enough about me, shall we talk about the claims you wanted to fabricate?"

Oh hah, never even considered giving them a title, I may just try that next time one of my people decided to try and invade me!

The Pope is a vassal to the ERE. How do I go about freeing him? I don't like that my bishops are giving their money to the Byzantine Emperor. He also has an antipope despite having the original Pope as his vassal.

I asked this question earlier in this thread but it seemed to have been ignored. If I can't free him, is it better to make an antipope?

Can I ask how this happened? First time I hear the Pope becoming a vassal of the ERE.

Sorry for not answering but I have no clue :(

What are the requirements to have a heresy become the new orthodoxy? More provinces and higher moral authority?

You also need to own the Sons of Abraham DLC.

How do you beat adventurers? I was playing as England and got invaded by 29k troops. I got money from the pope, hired mercenaries with ALL my gold, raised ALL vassals and my own troops + scotland ally. It was around 19k.

What is the trick? And by trick i mean not dependent on luck.

:( was hoping to convert Rajestan quite swiftly, but this is bad news. I had red something about MTTH when you use the councillor, but didnt knew that all was irrlevant (MA, neighbouring counties, etc...) if the councillor wasnt there...

You can use your court bishop to convert area but its a % that is checked every year. So even if you have high % number for conversion it can take long time or it can convert in few years. Its random chance that is determined of your court bishops stats. Without using the court bishop they rarely change religion. So my original point is valid as you ask what is the max change of converting a province as it can take the whole game if you are that unlucky or it can flip in few years. It also depens of what religion you are trying to convert.

When i handed the counties out to zealous people, i got a lot of messages saying "my liege, my county has converted" (they differ from the bishop message, cause there he says "my mission was a succes). But offocurs, those people die and less zealous people take their place.

At the moment, its about 40% converted, but buddhism and hindu are quite strong it seems

hey guys quick question here,

Im playing as Saffarid, and in order to form Persian Empire, I need to take all titles from Iraq (Mesopotamia) which the Abbasids control.

Trouble is the only war options I have are just to take single counties, and then the expected long truce time, which would take forever.

Is there a way to get "invasion of Mesopotamia" or something? We are both Sunni Muslim

About these guy X for title Y factions: are the "opinion of liege, opinion of X (as liege)" numbers real and or more like "opinion of liege, opinion of X (at the moment)"? Somehow it seems like the opinion modifier for X does not consider the laws-impact.

And why does the Ecumenical Patriarch have the "Vasall King" Modifier? He is a king right, but he is not the pope, without the Emperor of East Rome he would be nothing, wouldn´t he?
