I noticed that the Norse on the British isles (and the Khazars) aren't using their seers to convert their counties. I understand that the chance of them actually converting catholic counties is really low but is it WAD that they aren't even trying?
And if it is WAD, why did they decide to make it this way? this pretty much destroys the chance that the Norse win on the British isles as they will never convert their counties.

The arcticle "Religion" in the CKII wiki mentions Great Holy Wars for Judaism in the List of Religions. However, prior to 2.1.1 no Holy Wars fired for the Jewish Faith, with or without Kohen Gadol. Did Patch 2.1.1 enable Holy Wars for the Jewish Faith or are they still inaccesible (and the entry is wrong)?

I've never understood the whole anti-pope/free investiture thing. Currently in my game the ERE has turned Catholic and has it's own anti-Pope while having the real Pope as a vassal. What is currently the best thing to do? Switch to free investiture and get my own Pope? It feels like my Bishops are pouring their tax money into the ERE which I don't want to see getting any stronger.

Thing is, I border the HRE which formed for once (867 start). Will they get a free CB on me for having an anti-Pope? I currently don't have a CB vs ERE though... which I thought I would get.

Some screens of the situation:

So am I right in understanding that barring rare events, it is no longer possible to change culture and religion over time, seeing as children keep yours no matter who educates them?

AFAIK that's not true; the changes made are that now it's only possible for children to change culture/religion if their guardian has the same culture/religion as their landed lord. (In the case of vassals, they are their own landed lords/employers, so if you send a child to be educated by a vassal it'll be able to pick up the religion and culture of the vassal.)

So it would be possible to convert your Irish Catholic King into an Ashkenazi Jew, you'd just need to land the Ashkenazi courtier and then send your child to them to be educated, rather than educating the child with the Ashkenazi courtier at your own court as was previously the case.

So am I right in understanding that barring rare events, it is no longer possible to change culture and religion over time, seeing as children keep yours no matter who educates them?

Example: You are Rurik (norse) and you want your child to turn russian. Send him to a russian turor who is in the court of one of your counts/dukes. In other words, the turor must not be directly under you (i.e. NOT in your court OR a duke and you are a king OR a count and you are a duke).

To change culture make sure he/she is gregarious and/or diligent (both if possible to guarantee success) and definitely NOT shy and/or slothful.
To change religion make sure tutor is zealous.

How long does the dishonorable penalty last? It's like i've got mister Bean doing my assassinations.. It gets done, but very visible....

Its a shame the wikia isnt kept more up to date, cause i often use it for other games

How long does the dishonorable penalty last?

Depends where you got it the basic is 60 months but certain events give it from 2, 6 or 100 years cooldown on it. Still the 100 year one is for reincarnation event so that most likely is the rarest of them. You most likely have the 60 month default time.

idk if this is a bug so I'm asking here

I've started a game in the 867 start in sweden(the biggest duchy there, I dont remeber the name)
Then, I created sweden and a merchant republic, and switched to play with it(its norse)

I have trade practices on lvl 1 and half, and I have 100% reduction on trade posts(meaning I can build zero) - is this intended? I know that venice and amalfi can build trade posts with trade practices on 1

also, I think that the sucession might be bugged - my 12 year old son has priority over my 23 year old brother(meaning the 12 year old will inherit the house). Is this happening because I'm pagan? EDIT: could it be because my brother is the heir to a temple?

and, is there a way to toggle looters if I have no counties? I cant do that in the grand mayor county, and I cant do it on the counties of my allies.

and how do I get rid of the ''wrong government type'' malus?

I can't remember if this is supposed to happen: I holy warred for the 2 highlighted regions below (the duchy of Saxony which was owned by an independent slavic ruler). The actual duchy title belonged to someone in the HRE who owned all of the de jure area of the duchy of Brunswick (but the Brunswick duchy title didn't exist). So, now that I own 2/3 of the duchy of Saxony, I usurp it and steal every single vassal count the former Duke of Saxony had (9 counts in total as you can see by the shields).

Probably, hopefully , fixed in the new patch 2.1.2.
- Fixed a bug where the usurp button for kingdoms usurped vassals as well

Just wonder that it specifically mentions kingdoms and not duchies..will ask.

Yes, that sounds WAD. And the temple issue could be a problem. Try reloading to see if it works. Don't know about the looters. And you get rid of the "wrong government type" malus by being the right government type. =) Feudal lords don't like the idea of mayors and republics. Republics don't like feudal lords. Tis the way of things.

Is it WAD that someone who isn't a drunkard can reveal your plot in a drunken stupor? Are there any particular traits that make this more likely?

Yes. Take a look at plot_events.txt for more info. Basically it can happen with anyone. Drunkards, imbeciles, and slow folks are more likely. Quick, Genius, and Temperate (huge!) are less likely.

I want to, *ahem*, remove my current heir from the line of succesion and rather have his genious younger brother in the line.

But I can't plot against him, is that WAD? Assassinations are costly and with little successrate ...

Unfortunately, you can't plot to kill your own children but grandchildren is fair game. What you can do though,if you are playing as christian you can revoke one bishopric and give that to your unwanted son and he will be removed from succession line. You will get -20 tyranny penalty for revoking vassal titles but imo that is an ok price to pay for the better ruler.

Another thing you can try is just make him a commander of a small army and constantly charge rebels,he may get killed during the battle.(if he is an adult you can do that)

Or you can switch to elective. People like to vote for a genius.

My question, if you bought the music dlc, is there somewhere seperatly you can listen to it? Cause i have been playing as a muslim now, but i've got the feeling the music isnt that different from a catholic game a few days before

Trade Practices 1.5 should give you -75% on the number of trade posts, not -100% you are reporting.

Nor Venice nor Amalfi start at trade practises 1.0, they have 1.3 or 1.4. So with the number of dynasty males at their courts the patricians can build a TP from the start actually.

Does prepared invasion target only dejure parts of realm or whole realm? Lets say I target Byzantines, which is pretty irregular empire. Also what happens to previous ruler?
