Why cant I execute everyone ? I managed to get everyone into prison but as soon as I execute the last two holding vassals there are two new one. Is it because im 10/3 over my demense limit and there is a hardcap or am I doing it wrong somehow? I even paused the game, so it couldnt assign new ones.

Only half right. The menu that pops up when you click the rings lists potential brides/grooms that will say yes to a proposal from your character. This behavior continues if you check the matrilineal box. By default the list is sorted with highest rank (kings/related to kings) first then descending to courtiers. As you mentioned, lowborn generally aren't listed due to the massive prestige penalty involved.

Nobody says 'no' to meeee. :D

True, i forgot the optimal 'potential' part.

You're the best!

Or you just don't compress saves first as mentioned here how to: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum...save-games&p=17189077&viewfull=1#post17189077
and here with pictures by Emre Yigit: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum...6-GUIDE-How-to-save-games-without-compression

Where did the reform religion button move to? I can't find it to reform the romuva religion any more. I'm sure it used to be on the religion page. The icon has showed up at the top of the screen............Maybe i have been drinking too much.

I may or may not have asked this before but why is Carloman Karling in the Old Gods start maimed? And shouldn't Basil be (at least) quick as well as strong? I mean he did take over an empire after all.

on 2.1.1, how are the crusade spoils distributed? When I hover over the "offer to join war" button, it shows that all holdings will go to the pope. Is it true? Or will it all go to the ruler with most contribution scores? Thanks!

It should say on the crusade flag on the left. It will go to the de jure ruler of the kingdom, if there is none it will go to a claimant (not sure how this works/is decided) if there is no rightful owner it will go to the person with the highest crusade score (Shown on the crusade flag).

The wiki said:
If the war is won, the holder of the relevant kingdom title will receive the territory if they are of the same religion as the attackers. Otherwise, whoever participated the most will gain the kingdom. Participation, as with other wars, is calculated by troops thrown into battle and the capturing of territory. If the victor is vassal to a king or below, they will become independent. If the target was Jerusalem the victor might be compelled to give it up to the Knights Templar, which provides a large amount of Piety.

When pressing a claim on a kingdom title from within the realm, is it normal to lose all your duchies and counties upon succeeding?

I had 4 duchies under my control 2 of which fell under another kingdom title held by the liege, 1 under a kingdom title that doesn't exist and 1 in the de jure part of the kingdom title I'm declaring war for. I kept the ones that were de jure part of my new kingdom title and the one belonging to no existing kingdom... my former primary duchy alongside all my counties now belong to my liege who is stuck in my dungeons. Is this working as it should? Since I would've thought I would take all my holdings with me almost as if I was subjugating her. I'm actually 10 times weaker now than I was before as a 'quadrouple duke'. I guess I should've just declared indepedence and then attack her? Right now I only have a single county to my name... it feels almost like the game split my holdings and her's in a gavelkind fashion.

I encountered something similar as the 1066 Abbasid Caliph who is vassal to the Seljuks (to get the Caliphate Strikes Back achievement).

As a vassal, I had vassals with territories in Mesopotamia and Khiva. If I declared an Invasion of my liege for the Kingdom of Persia, the moment I won I became an independent King of Persia but I left behind all my vassals in Mesopotamia and Khiva (whose new liege was my former liege, the Seljuks). But if I declared Independence first, I broke away with my vassals in Meso/Khiva intact, and then I could Invade Persia for all of Persia.

So there does seem to be some quirk about taking a kingdom title within the realm when you are currently a vassal.

Thanks for the confirmation. Yes, it seems odd because you are essentially declaring independence anyway but taking a kingdom title with you. It seems weird to have to do it in 2 stages.

I haven't played CK2 that much lately so this is probably old news, but....

Is it basically impossible to take land using the Holy War CB now (as a Catholic)? The AI always seems to convert as soon as I start winning.

If I inherit a kingdom(being a king already), should I destroy the title?

That depends. If you want your second kingdom's lands to de jure drift into your first, then yes. However, you'll get a -50 opinion penalty with vassals of the second kingdom when you destroy that second kingdom (in actuality, it's really a -25 penalty, as you lose the -25 for "Desires Kingdom 2" when you destroy it).

So basically, if you're looking to carry out de jure drift then yes, you're best off destroying the second kingdom. You will, however, have to deal with angry vassals of the second kingdom if you do so.

Im the titular King of Aragon and it has no more dejure. If I lose the titular King title on sucession, will the heir stop being my vassal and crown himself King of Nothing ?
