Is this an effective way of finding out if she has other lovers?
There is a "Lovers" section on the Relations tab for characters, which is the best way. (This is only available in 2.1.1 and onwards.)

Mercs have a position on the map, if you are too far away or the wrong religion they can't be hired.Sorry is this has been mentioned somewhere else already, but I can only enter a search time every 60 seconds, and I am tired of waiting.
I noticed in let's plays that the cheapest mercenaries cost 75. However in my game the cheapest ones cost 150. I tried googling for an answer too, but I can't find any. Can anyone tell me if this is how it is supposed to be? Were mercenaries nerfed?
But I am playing as Munster in Ireland. I'm new to the game. Even the Irish band costs 190. The Saxon and Breton band are both 150.
Seems like a huge coincidence though. She got pregnant a few months after we became lovers. But I guess its possible I'm not the only one she fancies.
Ah, I wasn't aware of this, thanks!Yeah, the costs were recently increased.
I'm the Byzantine Emperor right and I can push claims of at least three of my kin on three kingdoms. Should I do it and have vassel kings (I already have two, after pushing their claims)?
Still don't quite understand this:
What determines who I can marry? Specifically, when I click the wedding rings icon, the people that populate the window that opens up... what criteria was used to populate that window? At the moment I click that, and it's completely empty, even though I have a courtier who is single and of age. Why do I not have any options?
You have save compression on, to view the save file open it in 7zip.I was trying to edit a save game file for the first time, just to play around with it and see what I could do, but every time I open up a new save game file it comes out as an indecipherable mess of gibberish.
This screenshot is in Notepad++ but I also tried Wordpad to no avail. I opened up the file in "\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\Save Games" which, to my understanding, is the right directory. Has editing save games been disabled in the new patch, or did I miss a step somewhere?
Thanks!
THe menu through the wedding ring shows optimal options. As a christian marrying a lowborn courtier you could lose prestige, thus it's empty.
You still can chose your courtier through her or your diplomacy screen. You can also search for bride through the character search and then go to their diplomacy screen.
...Or you are incapable or something and nobody wants to marry you. There might be a reason.
