Civilized European dynasties don't last very long when my pagan rulers chain-sacrifice them to Bloodthirsty Gods.they are barbarians, and I am a civilized European.

So; I don't play CK2 too much; but decided to play in Wales for a change.
My first heir joined the Benedictine Order of his own accord before I got to play as him; and eventually lived to the ripe old age of 61, with all 7 virtues; Pilgrim; Poet; Theologian and as a Mastermind Theologan trait.
His only son died only a few years after taking the throne, without his own heir, so now his half-sister is Queen. Thankfully I Matrilinealry married her.
But shortly after this; I got a big notification that the 7-Virtue guy was declared a Saint, and I gained a [2nd] Bloodline.
I've never seen a pop-up about Sainthood at all, so I was wondering; how hard is it to get a Saint? I kind of stumbled into it. His title also changed posthumously on Canonization to 'the Godbearing'.
You would of had to fight to press a claim either through your own claim or through a claimant or a de jure territory claim. An Independence war will only break you off from your former liege.I am a new player so sorry for the dumbness of my question : I am a duke and I declared war to my king for independence and I won like 6 sieges so 2 counties that were owned directly by him.
Then I offered him peace which he accepted and the result is that I am independent but I don't own the 2 counties ... how come ? I was occupying all the cities of the 2 counties.
Thank you !
.. By all accounts, I feel like I should be winning.
(edit) Combat modifiers including traits are mentioned in the tooltip when hovering over the martial attribute. The only major things I can see that aren't on this screen...
Is there a special requirement to get the seclusion events? I'm trying to get the Bon Apetit achievement. I had my kid shut the gates for 6 years and no events fired.
I believe you want to have a courtier who is Gluttonous to trigger the event.
What's happening on the right flank looks impressive. 455 for mellee sounds like a good dice roll, while you losing left and centre in skirmish.
Having 7 stewardship on your ruler will do it on the base game. 14 for a third spot. You add half of your wife's stewardship for the final value, so a wife with 14 will always give +1 to the limit. Gavelkind almost reduces the needed stewardship down to 5, so you increase the limit at 6, 11, 16, 21....What exactly is needed to increase a starting Irish-Catholic-Feudal Demesne to size 2?
- Very new to game.
From the wiki...
So if I'm reading this right...
Rank Base demesne Notes
Baron/Count/Duke 1
Stewardship
The stewardship bonus is = 0.15 x (your stewardship +50%of wifes stewardship) and x 1.3 if gavelkind.
If I had a 14 stewardship, and the wife had (14) +7 = 21 x 1.3gavel = 27.3 = x 0.15 = 4.095, with 4.00 needed to go from 1 to 2.
And a single point less on mine or hers and you are stuck at 1? So basically you and your wife have to total 21 for 2. Non-gavelkind needs 27 total for 2. Which means without a wife its virtually impossible.
And to get 3 demense? Gavelkind would need you and your wife to get a combined 47 stewardship to reach? hahahaha.
Why even have a chart that shows the increase up to level +16 demesne?
*I'm really hoping to God Ive read this all wrong.
Wait what does that number do? I never really noticed it before.
In most of case, yes, you'll lose him and his countries.(if we leaving aside the high crown authority/regulated inheritance law of father's titleInheritance again...
If my son is my count level vassal, and then inherits his father's kingdom which is outside my empire, will I loose him as a vassal? He is not my heir due to absolute cognatic and an oldet sister.
