If I reform my pagan religion and select Enatic clans while having a male ruler, what happens? Is there immediately a succession?
I have a surfeit of prisoners from my various raids and other adventures. Is there a way to "ransom all"? Is there anything to do with the rest? Right now I'm getting overwhelmed with popups of children reaching age 16 in my dungeons. While I can take the occasional noble woman as a concubine, the boys just seem totally worthless if I can't ransom them. Are they of any use?
I've not had a chance to try Enatic (since it breaks quite a lot of things) but, last I saw, it inverts succession laws (so Cognatic-Agnatic instead of Agnatic-Cognatic), and prohibits Male councilors. It shouldn't force succession immediately, but you might take an opinion malus for having a male ruler.
On the intrigue screen for prisoners, there is a ransom all button on the right. Be careful not to actually ransom someone you want to keep imprisoned.
As for the spare kids, you can recruit them, usually, if they're any good at a particular stat. Otherwise, if they're foreign, and of a different faith, there's literally no reason to not execute them. I find public humiliation is a fun one though, -50 GLOBAL opinion is pretty nuts.
