do my heirs inherit all my threat or does the threat Level decay a bit upon inheritance?
Threat decays by month, but I am fairly certain that your heirs gain threat proportional to how much of your realm they gain. So under gavelkind I think each of your children gets a chunk of threat. It might be that your primary heir loses threat based on how much of your realm goes independent in the transition.

Playing as a Fraticelli king in a shattered world, and I am consistently getting one of my sons (seemingly random, but it tends to favor younger sons) chosen as the heir to 4-6 bishoprics at a time. They're not educated as priests, they're not monks, and I haven't asked the pope to make them bishops. Is this a bug or is it WAD?
EDIT: I've tried sponsoring random priests to inherit bishoprics, which worked for a bit, but then they suddenly switched back to one of my sons. I've tried using the recalc_succ command, but for some reason it won't take my sons out of the bishopric's line of succession unless I change my son's religion via console. I'm considering switching to free investiture, but I'm worried that will just have the same effect as nominating a successor through the pope, and I'd prefer the pope to keep liking me if I can.

I have a weird inheritance issue - my character is celibate* and childless, but has a child (half-) brother. But for some reason, my heir switched from the brother to a very distant cousin (who should be second in line). For some reason, the brother is also listed as the heir to an Arg (=Castle/Barony - not a temple... and even a mosque should not disinherit him), to which I am the heir in the character view (even though there are vassals in between)
Agnatic Open, Sunni - since I have no children, it should default to primogeniture...? And previously, my brother was the heir.

* that was the first weird thing - he wanted to join Bektashi Order, and it said this would disinherit him - I accepted because he turned out Dull and Deceitful. So he joined the order, became Celibate... and inherited anyway. Would I have had to land my other son (now brother) to really prevent that from happening? Does Bektashi Order not actually disqualify succession?

It's ironman, so I think I can't use recalc_succ. :( I do want my brother, the last (other) member of the main branch of the family to inherit, not some guy from the other branch 7 generations removed (even if he is strong). :(

Edit: reload fixed the problem - maybe I would have had to reload before the father's death as well. Now I just need to hope brother lives to adulthood and sires an heir before distant kin guy gets any fishy ideas... or acquire some lustful wives with high intrigue.

What is the trigger to get the reconquista bloodline (el cid or just christian)?
For the generic one: participate in at least two four reconquiestas and in no more than two lost ones.

For the El Cid line: partipate in at least two aggressive and two defensive reconquiestas and earn over 200 piety in your second defensive one, while the main attacker loses 100 piety.

Thank you! Does helping a muslim count as one of the two reconquistas? I never got the option back to organize a second one, only after the character died. Is it one per character (to start) or does it take extremely long?

It's per character. I made a mistake in my earlier post, by the way, I mixed it up with the Northern Crusade. It's been edited with the correct info.

As a Norse Germanic pagan if I don't want my reformed norse germanic brethern to have invasions, if i take just the Sea bound doctrine will i get Vikings raiding events, reduced ship maintenance and river navigation?

If i dont take any of sons of ragnarok, daring, or sea bound doctrines how many of the above mechanics do you keep as a reformed norse germanic?

Cheers

So, I did the Legendary Gathering for my warrior lodge early int he campaign, and founded a bloodline. Tool-tip says I have to wait 100 years before calling a new Legendary Gathering, fine. My problem is that it's now been more than 100 years since the bloodline was founded (i.e. since the end of the previous gathering, let alone the start of it) and the decision is still blocked with the tool-tip still saying it's failing the "at least 100 years have passed" condition. Is the game bugged or is the tool-tip lying? Is it possible to do the legendary gathering more than once in a game if you get the bloodline the first time?

For Norse the Viking traits are tied to culture. You only need both doctrines to get the generic pirate traits as non-Germanic pagan

Sons of Ragnarok is Daring + Sea Bound. Daring only adds prepared invasions

That is a bug. I am fairly certain it has been reported and will be fixed in the patch that will come out "this week".

Not related to the latest patch/DLC.

I am playing a Merchant Republic for the 1st time and I had read in the wiki that you can use excommunication or the "spy on" feature of the Way of Life's intrigue focus so you can steal back the money of old relatives that are unsuitable for doges. Is that still possible? Because I've managed to imprison some of them and the banish option doesn't offer me any money. Is it some special event I'm missing?

Can AI Tribal vassals switch to Republican vassals (not within a merchant republic but a normal republic)? I know they do in a merchant republic but I'm wondering if they didn't code that for regular republics.
