I'm tribal King of Ruthenia. I have -60 opinion with vassals because "too many held duchies" ... So... should I cede some duchies?
I usually avoid having vassal dukes so I have no idea how it works. How dangerous is it?
Game says I don't have Imperial Administration but I do have Majesty 5 in my capital. I have a custom empire.
I'll try giving away 2-county duchiws away to counts that hold one of the counties of said duchy. I have restrained myself to give away de-jure duchy capitals because of this but well... everyone gets -100 opinion towards me just for that at this point. Even if their forces combined can't scratch me at all, they might hurt my heir(s)."..it's direct access on the home screen.." ?
If you refer the shortcut created on your desktop, then no, that shoud be linked with Steam, if you didn't create it yourself,
but you can easily create your own non-Steam desktop shortcut. Just right click ck2game.exe and there should be an option.
Yup, unless if you'll die soon and prefer to have the titles divided among your heirs.
Depends what you like and how many heirs you got.
Relatives with claims or miffed vassals after inheritance.
You are twelve, it's afternoon and you leave school to go home.
Ohoh, there are six potential bullies at the corner of the road, BUT
you told them the last time when you met them to speak as one, as
that would make them stronger. They were a little surprised,
but still followed your suggestion.
Now to get a chance to run away you only have to poke one of these bullies in the eye,
as the others will wait for orders.
See, that's how you deal with vassals of a higher tier.
A lot of the "hints" on the wiki assume a fairly specific playstyle. If your goal is to blob as large as possible and nothing else, then maybe wait, otherwise don't worry about it. The main point is just that you'll lose those county conquest and subjugation CBs, so if you've got a good target for them, make sure to do that first. On the topic of religious reformation. The wiki says to hold off of it until you're multi-king. I really don't want to wait that long. But I do not want to embrace feudalism immediatly after reforming either. Is this a good idea or am I messing my game for no reason?
I have already reformed the Slavic Faith and I can still use County Conquest CB. Subjugation is lost, but I didn't really like it anyway. Having a vassal with like 4 counties posed to expand on his own? Seems super dangerous to me.A lot of the "hints" on the wiki assume a fairly specific playstyle. I have to abolish the council?
Also, how do I enable Primogeniture? It's 1400 so late feudal admin is there but it's not checked. Does the kingdom have to be my primary?
If you're tribal, yeah,it can be kind of dangerous, but remember, they have to deal with gavelkind too. The day the duke dies is the day their realm gets split.I have already reformed the Slavic Faith and I can still use County Conquest CB. Subjugation is lost, but I didn't really like it anyway. I'm tribal King of Ruthenia. I have -60 opinion with vassals because "too many held duchies" and -30 for "absolute tribal organization". So... should I cede some duchies? I control three holy sites but MA is on the floor so I don't think I'll be able to reform in this leader's lifetime.

And I hate fucking Elective Gavelkind.

AI passed the crown law regulated inheritance preventing my favorite way of acquiring land: marry my dukes to foreign realm dukes, killing my duke, then killing their duke after they produce an heir. Is there any way I can revert their laws to free? Can I influence this in any way? Or am I doomed to never again take land outside of war after the first 100 years of play?
Why do I sometimes get double negative modifiers for the same trait?
For example, I committed incest and got caught. Now, my screen shows [Incestuous Adulterer -10] twice..
Incestuous Adulterer -10
Incestuous Adulterer -10
Total -20
Is this a bug?
It's totally random. Sometimes you starve, sometimes you won't. I've had runs of 50 years in seclusion without running out of food.
