Have your male relatives marry foreign princesses. Their children will inherit her claim

Another way is to invite claimants and give them a county or barony somewhere. Since you aren't related to them they have to be your vassal first. Otherwise you just get an independent ruler who likes you very much.
The exception to that is if the kingdom belongs de jure to your empire. Then you don't have to land them first and they don't have to be related to you

I just started my first game as count in charlomange start date. I was looking for a challange as I always started as duke in later dates.
I am struggling on finding a strategy on growing my realm but not beeing broken down by gravelkind every succession.
As I do not gain any tech points as count it will take some time, mybe generations to get to law level 3 bevor I can change to primogesture.
Claiming my lieges duchy wount prove easy as well as he hold 3 counties and has 5 more count vassals. My liege is the duke of benevento in italy, so he is quite powerfull.
Currently the only way I see is to join the benedictian or dominican society in oder to become celibite after the birth of my first born, this way I could eat up the duchy from inside etc.

Do you guys have any ideas what I could do? I am also looking for marriage oppertunieties but I gues as minor count noone cares for my heirs :(

Edit: I noticed that I dont have enough troops to achieve anything. What is the best way to approach my sittuation and step up?

As a count, your best options are usually, in this order.

1. Borrow money from the jews.
2. Get high intrigue or diplomacy if possible. With the right ambitions, and good enough favor with your liege, you almost always will get another title with the "acquire title" ambition.
3. If that doesn't work, murder everyone. Not joking. Kill all of your neighbors with plots. Your liege will inherit more, and if he goes over his limit, odds are he'll give you titles if he likes you. If he doesn't like you, you can try killing his family, but avoid direct relatives (children, brothers) if you can, until you've pruned down his dynasty.

Playing as a single county count is extremely difficult, but also extremely fun if you can pull it off.

Okay, so I just married a princess from the Sultanate of Egypt who had a strong claim on Sultanate of Egypt and many weaker claims on some Egyptian duchies and counties. Had 2 children with her, a son and a daughter, both born in the purple.. but neither children show as having inherited the claims... ? Am I missing something?

They'll inherit her claims when she dies. If they are inheritable claims obviously.

Seems like you're doing things right. A few things to consider:
- getting their courtiers to like you more gives a higher likelihood they'll join your plot.
- getting their courtiers to like them less gives a higher likelihood they'll join your plot.
- targets with high intrigue are harder to assassinate, so plots are more likely to fail.
- sometimes RNGesus just hates you.

^^
Also, if the target has unmarried courtiers, you can marry them to your own courtiers who will join your plot if they dislike the target. Best way I find is to invite random persons with high intrigue to my court who are of a different religion than the target, and marry them off to the target's courtiers (and target itself if unmarried). They almost always join the plots. And make sure you select matrilineal marriage appropriately so the target's courtiers dont end up in your court.

I started as a count and my liege managed to form the duchy I wanted before me..He then gave it to me as a viceroyalty , since I own most of the dejure counties inside of it , but now It will revert to him when I die...
What can I do in this case?

Thanks for the ideas, I tried but failed though^^ some rebels sat on my province and won...
gona give it another try.

I have another question, I remember reading that you can trigger the demon child event when you manage to impragnant your selv via the stanist spell "unholy impregnancy"
I tried this twice now and only got a normal bastard child. Are there other requirements I need or is this wrong?

You can try to force a law change to eliminate viceroyalties, though that depends on your DLC, and if you can gain favors over your liege.

It's not easy to keep a viceroyalty, but there are other methods that I'm unaware of to cheese the system.

The child will be a bastard child, that's normal if your wife isn't a member of the society. You won't know whether or not they're the demon child until some events come up.

I'm not 100% sure, since I've never actually been fortunate enough to be in that situation, but I think that you may get to have one free law changed. The only reason I'd think that is because I had a regent change my tax law while my character was on pilgrimage.

my daughter was betrothed to a kings heir. So we had a NAP. They broke it because of the event where one of your courtiers makes them mad and im not gonna take a prestige hit. Anyway is there any way for me to renew the NAP at some point or should I just break the betrothal since the whole point of it was to eventually forge an alliance. I get nothing out of marrying my daughter to them elsewise.

Oh right I totaly forgot about the MTTH, technicly it will be the demon child right?
I was a ruling Woman, so I impregnate my self.
Does it mean that if both I and my spouse are members of lucifers own the child from an unholy impragnation will be legitimit?

Edit:
Befor I became the headmaster I got an Event saying that the offspring of satan him self died and is now back on its way to him in hell. Does this mean that the former head Master was the demon child? I didnt Check all her stats but it was genius and had alot of other traits. The Event had the Headline "apocalipse lost" if I recall corectly.
Are more then one demon child posible or is only one per game allowd?

Im reading the wiki and i should be able to do it, i was able to last year...

Im not at war, the kid is 9 years old not 12, not any sort of incapability or infertility, and i am under 75 myself. He is my heir as well, under elective. Whats the issue?

(I changed the succession back to primo using allow laws cheat and still nothing)

Playing a Sardinia game and have conquered Tunis. Can Italian culture spread there?

Sure. If you keep it in your demesne there is a recently conquered modifier which can cause the spread.

the modifier retinuesize_perc can't use in character_modifier?When I add this modifier to one chararcter, his size of retinue not increase and keep the original data.

Please ask in the appropriate thread in the Modifications subforum.
