The converter is still a little bugged, in my current game the Ming are called Han, no problem there, maybe because in my Game the Empire fell to the Jurchen, but the Emperor is 590 Years Old, and the Empire doesnt only contain Ming, its the EU4 Ming merged with the Western Protectorat and what the Protectorate Vassalized, in my Game the Chinese Empire contains China, Tibet and the northern Part of India.

And it still uses the China Mechanics so at the gamestart they are loosing a ton of Mandate because nobody is a tributary.

Quick question on the revamped Tributary casus belli. I'm playing as the Fylkir of Germania and there's a Jewish k_africa in my game. Which is the best way to turn it into a tributary so I can protect it and help it?

EDIT: NVM, answered my own question. It appears that my best bet is to use "Establish Tributary State".

landed courtiers stay in my court. Is this happening to anyone else? Ive had multiple landed people refuse to leave even though they arent councilors.
Im aware children dont leave when you invite the mother to your court, im not too sure of the status for children you are educating and their parents leaving your court but this definitely seems like a bug. No mods, was happening before JD too.
its only gotten worse. not only did my nephew now stay in my court after his wife became landed, but SOMEHOW she usurped a duchy from my court, conquering it as a claimant. Is that....is that normally possible? Also, she is my vassal now even though the duke in question never was. It might be that this duchess is also still considered part of my court, like all spouses of landed characters are. Its getting worse!

Once again I'm being baffled by levy numbers. I have a feudal vassal who has the following levy numbers in the military tab:

240/240 (599/622)

The 240 is fine - it's their 40% legal obligation. However, I can't for the life of me work out why his theoretical max would be 599 i.e. almost all of his troops. Actually before unpausing his theoretical maximum was GREATER than the number of his troops! As best as I can see it the most you would ever get is 50% (as per the max levy = 50% x De Jure Mod x Number of Troops calc).

.... Because i didnt get the "The price of Decadence" Event or the Option to break apart from them, they just got a flat -50% Decadence modifier...

That is just the revolt happening. Doesn't have to be successful.

With whom I can and with whom I cannot make a non aggression pact? Pre 2.8 I used to make it with all my landed descendants while now, playing as Tibet I cannot do it with my children. It is a 2.8 thing? A feudal monastic thing? Or?

Right-click on the character you want to defend against, there should be the option to join the pact.
Sometimes the option doesn't show because of your size relative to the target (ie the AI considers you're too big to consider the other guy a threat), or you're too distant.

Is this face paint normal?

Facepaint.jpg

So at first I thought this may be a bug, but then again I am not familiar with tangut culture, it is just that there seems to be a bit of a bleedout.

What do "+10% light/heavy infantry" axe/mace bonuses do? Do they increase the number of levies or make your soldiers perform better? And if the latter, do I have to be a commande?

Does religious moral authority affect your ability to wage holy wars? I lacked that CB in recent campaign and authority was 11% or so.

No, moral authority is not a factor. Some religions lack the holy war CB (unreformed Pagans, Jains, and technically Buddhists did too) so maybe that was it (11% MA does sound like you might have been Pagan). Alternatively, if you are a vassal you can only use holy war if your religion is from the same religious group as your liege's religion.

What do "+10% light/heavy infantry" axe/mace bonuses do? Do they increase the number of levies or make your soldiers perform better? And if the latter, do I have to be a commande?

That sounds like the same effect that you get from the heavy infantry/light infantry/cavalry leader traits. And that one makes troops under the character's command fight better.
