Well, yes, I meant trigger the results of the event . Can we do it ?

Depends on the decision. If a decision triggers an event, then yes. But most will do their thing as part of the decision and if there is an event, it's mostly for notification. You can use the console to easily fulfill the required conditions of the decision though.

Has anybody figured out how to get the "turn from feudal into a merchant republic" thing working again?

Not that I know off.

Oh , ok . Thanks.

Try.
Schism mended id is = LoR.210
Keep in mind the console is case sensitive.

Thanks you , but to be exact, it is a decision specific to a mod . But I will try with the " = " before the code of the event.

What ? No. Not with the =.

Alternatively as was hinted before, if you cheat anyway, get yourself the counties and what else you need
to fullfill the decision requirements...and take it.

Switch to Romuva (as I am in this picture, which was a test) or stick with Sunni Islam?

I've got a vassal queen who's a powerful vassal and not on my council (yet) but for some reason, the opinion penalty doesn't show up.
Can anyone think of a possible reason?

Should I build University and Monastic School in my capital? My capital already has the highest tech levels, so wouldn't it be better to go like this:

1. Counties adjacent to my capital that I own - to increase tech spread rate there.
2. Counties adjacent to my capital that I don't known.
3. Other counties, although I really doubt if it will be worth the cost and time.

Also, how do many do you build in a county? More is better, but let's say you can build 2 universities. Would you rather build both in a county or in 2 separate neighbouring counties.

Don't build them in counties you don't personally own unless you have an overflow of money. But otherwise that is correct.

As for wehther to build 2 in 1 or 1 in 2, it depends whether you want one province to get tech faster or a more even spread of tech.

Thanks for the answer.

Just to be clear, I shouldn't build the tech buildings in my capital?

EDIT: I also found a couple of videos with experienced people saying that tech spreads in such a way that usually, tech buildings aren't a priority. Most of the world will end end up being of a similar tech level anyway, and that this is the reason learning isn't of much importance.

EDIT2: Bigger army usually wins.

Trying Merchant Republic for the first time. Searched around a lot but haven't found recent good answers to two questions.

1. I have control of the sea around Venice and around the heel of Italy, but the zone in between is a three-all tradepost tie with one of my fellow patricians. Whether I'm Doge or not Doge I can't declare war on this chap to seize one or more of his trade posts. As I understand it that's because you can never attack your own patricians as Doge and as non-Doge you can only do it if you've got less trade posts than the chap you're attacking. Is this correct? What are my options to get control of this sea zone?

2. Has anyone figured out the maths behind Trade Zone Value?

Cheers!

If you already have maximum tech in your capital you won't benefit from the bonus to technology spread, therefore it makes more sense to build schools in adjacent provinces which don't yet have maxed technology. You won't be able to use the tech points they generate unless you move your capital, but at least you benefit from faster tech spread.

I'm not entirely sure on that second point, but it is true I haven't found Learning to be particularly powerful.
