hello everyone, i have 2 achievements left in ck2, one of them is "i am the law". im not sure what im missing, because technically i changed a law using a favor from my liege. One thing that makes me think im doing something wrong is the fact that after the law change i still have a favor with my liege, is that normal? And another thing makes me think something is bugged because after launching the vote for the law (and the law pass) i still have the grenn check mark i can click (doing nothing) and the red X (removing this) I tried different types of goverments too.
Its kinda clear my english suck, sorry about that

Is the decadence desmesne income boost working properly? At 0 decadence I'm supposed to have 20% income boost, but when I convert to another religion, I don't lose any income- making me believe the income boost isn't working.

Did you let a month tick over? If you checked immediately it won't show until the next refresh, which is the 1st (or the 4th? I can't remember now) of every month.

Yeah. My desmesne income drops ever so slightly by 3, from 134 tax to 131 tax in the main holding of my capital, but besides that my income doesn't actually go down nor is there any other change I can notice.

Is the bonus meant to show up on the castle tax screen, when you hover over it? Is it meant to show up anywhere at all?

Succession law is Agnatic-Cognatic Primogeniture. Gelasio is the heir but has no children. Neither does Brunilde, who has a matrilineal marriage. So Serafino will be the heir if Gelasio dies.

What if Brunilde had a son? Who would be the heir of Gelasio - Brunilde's son or Serafino?

Anyone know if it's still possible to fabricate a claim if one is over one's demesne limit? There's a county I want to revoke and I've been trying to fabricate a claim on it for many years and I'm not sure if I'm wasting my time.

I'm 99% sure Serafino will be in line before Brunilde's son.

Being over demesne limit shouldn't have any effect on claim fabrication.

Take your Chancellor off the job, wait for the month to tick over, and put them back on it. Chancellors can be bribed by the target and you will never know, and that bribe keeps them from fabricating. I tend to do it every 2-3 of years if I haven't gotten a claim yet.

The bribe only lasts for a limited time (I think it's for a year), after that the chancellor automatically goes back to fabricating the claim. More importantly, if you take the chancellor off the job that will not make him any less bribed. He will still wait a year before he starts to actually fabricate again.

Anyway, claim fabrication is supposed to be a long process, taking some 5-10 years or so on average.

It's been about twenty years, but I'm playing with a "council members must be same culture as ruler" rule, as well as a "no inviting to court of characters except from one's vassals" rule, and have only had Chancellors of around the 10 skill level rating for the past couple of decades.

That will slow things down considerably. 5 years is what you'd get with a 20 Diplomacy chancellor. I'm not sure wha the yearly fabrication chance is for a chancellor with 10 Diplomacy, but I imagine it's somewhere between 5% and 10%, which would mean 10-20 years of waiting on average. And "on average" means that half the time you'll have to wait longer than that.

Check the tooltip to see what the chance is to fabricate each year. Divide 100% with that percentage to get the average number of years it will take. Then double that number to account for bad luck. That's how much time needs to pass before you should start worrying.

It should be a blanket increase, but I'm not sure where it shows up. Nothing changed on your income screen when you press F1?

I checked it and the income does indeed change- but the decrease was so minor and offset by increased feudal tax, that I just assumed the modifier was broken.

It still feels broken, as ultimately my desmesne income drops a lot less than I'd expect.

Anyway, another question: I'm playing an MP game using a mod that equalises the world and gives everything 6 barony slots. I'm playing Muslim Sicily with a desmesne of 10- all counties in Sicily, and 4 castles in my capital county.

Considering the boost from being Sunni is so little, I've decided to change religion- but I'm not sure what I should change religion to. Right now it's either Norse, or Romuva. Norse gives 30% levies and has a whole host of assorted flavour, while Romuva gives me 20% levies and 10% garrison.

The key thing here, however, is that Romuva also gives an insane 80% combat bonus to troops (I think all types) defending in territory that is Romuvan. Since I'm planning to play defensively, decking out all my counties with 4 cities each, I feel as if Romuva is the clear choice here. Should I go for it?

Or maybe I go for another religion entirely?

It's over 40 years now of constant attempted fabrication to revoke this county, including with good diplomacy stat rulers and Chancellors. Will fabricating claims not work if I've imprisoned the Count I'm fabricating against?

                                holder_scope = {

                                        AND = {
                                            religion = catholic
                                            ROOT = { liege = { religion_head = { character = PREVPREVPREV } } }
                                        }
                                    }
                                }
                            }
                        }
                    }
                }
            }
        }
    }

The Chancellor needs to have the job to fabricate claims, must not be in seclusion, and must not be bribed. You can't target a liege (but you can target vassals) and if you're Catholic you can't target any of the pope's land. That's it, no other limitations apply. The rest of the code deals with whether you get to fabricate a claim for a county, duchy, or kingdom.

This is the MTTH code:
Code:
    mean_time_to_happen = {
        months = 360

        modifier = {
            factor = 1.25
            NOT = { diplomacy = 2 }
        }
        modifier = {
            factor = 1.25
            NOT = { diplomacy = 3 }
        }
        modifier = {
            factor = 1.25
            NOT = { diplomacy = 4 }
        }
        modifier = {
            factor = 1.25
            NOT = { diplomacy = 5 }
        }
        modifier = {
            factor = 0.75
            diplomacy = 10
        }
        modifier = {
            factor = 0.75
            diplomacy = 11
        }
        modifier = {
            factor = 0.75
            diplomacy = 12
        }
        modifier = {
            factor = 0.75
            diplomacy = 13
        }
        modifier = {
            factor = 0.75
            diplomacy = 14
        }
        modifier = {
            factor = 0.95
            diplomacy = 15
        }
        modifier = {
            factor = 0.95
            diplomacy = 16
        }
        modifier = {
            factor = 0.95
            diplomacy = 17
        }
        modifier = {
            factor = 0.95
            diplomacy = 18
        }
        modifier = {
            factor = 0.95
            diplomacy = 19
        }
        modifier = {
            factor = 0.95
            diplomacy = 20
        }
    }

By default the average time to fabricate a claim is 30 years. If the Chancellor has less than 5 Diplomacy it's slower and with 10 Diplomacy or higher it gets faster. You get a big improvement for every point of diplomacy above 9, until you reach 14. After that each point of Diplomacy still speeds things up, but not by nearly as much. 20 Diplomacy is when a Chancellor' chance to fabricate a claim maxes out. Any more Diplomacy than that won't help you fabricate claims any faster, though having 22 Diplomacy does make it more likely you'll get a claim for a duchy or kingdom. But any more than that has no further effect on claim fabrication.

I changed tack and started fabricating a claim on another county and got it in months.

Earlier, I had been fabricating a claim on a county. I got it days after I'd saved the game, and then the game crashed. So I reloaded the save and recreated the fabrication through console commands, including associated gold and prestige costs. So I was wondering if that had introduced a bug or something. Probably I was just unlucky with the Random Number Generator.

Hello guys . I would like to ask if there are any way to trigger a decision through console commands (like, for exemple, the "Mend the Great Schism " decision). I searched but I did not find anything. Thanks !
