1. I think there's supposed to be 1 more DLC. Maybe two.
2. CK3 hasn't been announced. It definitely won't be announced until at least after the last DLC comes out (doing otherwise would pretty much guaranteed poor sales on the DLC) and likely not for some time after. Most Paradox Grand Strategy games have had a few years between their last DLC and a sequel coming out, largely due to the time it takes to develop said sequel.
3. Try the Verify Integrity of Game Files option in Steam (Right click > Properties > Local Files)

My retinue size is much smaller than my levies (about 10 times smaller) How do I best use it (culture is norwegian). It seems the best idea is to have some good ratio to trigger specific tactics, but without making a pure retinue flank (which would be too small), what should I do?

If you don't have enough retinues to form a flank you really only have two options. Either you don't use them for battle or you mix them with your levies. I'd probably just get as many Housecarls as possible and have them mixed with the levy.

Yeah, just mix them with levies. If you feel like it you can try to put the levies with the highest percentage of heavy infantry in the flank with your housecarls. But generally if they're that small a percentage of your army it's not going to make that much of a difference what you do with them.

So I accidentally became Holy Roman Emperor, which has turned certain latent succession issues into major problems, and I'm hoping y'all can help me figure this out.

So I started as Duchess of Holland. I became Duchess of a neighboring duchy, I forget the name. I formed the Kingdom of Frisia, and granted the second duchy to a merchant republic. So at this point, my titles are Queen of Frisia and Duchess of Holland, plus count of all but the merchant republic's province within Frisia. The Kingdom of Frisia uses feudal election, and my new heir is the rocking awesome Genius King Frans. King Frans gets elected Holy Roman Emperor when I'm not looking, because the electors apparently realize he's the Tom Hanks of monarchs, if Tom Hanks was a Dutch redhead with an awesome beard. My eldest son is a Dullard, but my third son is a Genius, and Genius Boy is obviously the one I want to inherit. Fortunately, Frisia is set to election, and there's only one other elector. My plan is to try to use the big stick of the Empire to build up Frisia, on the assumption that I am unlikely to hand the Empire down to my son, and Frisia will continue to be our family's power base. That's the background.

First problem: apparently, the Duchy of Holland uses primogeniture, even though the Kingdom of Frisia uses election, and I no longer have a button for the Duchy on the law screen, so I can't change it. This is also true of all my county level titles. So Genius Boy is set to inherit the title of King, but the Dullard is set to inherit all the actual land within the kingdom. Is there any way to change the laws to fix that? For this generation, I'm planning to get the Dullard killed in a very unfortunate military miscalculation, and send the guy in between off to the Church, but I don't want to have to keep repeating this every time I don't luck out on my main heir.

Second problem: my merchant republic, who are a major source of my budget. Do they transfer their vassalhood from the Kingdom to the Empire when I became Emperor? Basically, when I die and the next generation inherits, will the merchant republic still be their vassals, or are they now vassals of whoever the new emperor is? They are within the de jure borders of Frisia, if that makes a difference.

Third problem: if I conquer more land as Emperor, or revoke titles from vassals or whatever, is there any way to make sure it's passed down to the people I want it to be passed down to? I really want to get the Duchy of Flanders for Frisia, and maybe conquer some more of Pomerania (I already have one county up there). Would assigning it to my heir work?

My succession is elective, and my heir is apparently elected. Why (a) do I still have "Title loss on Succession" and (b) are there no more votes or nominees? What am I missing here?

How can I get the "Secretely <insert religion here>" trait?
Have a liege of another religion, then you'll see a decision for a couple of hundred piety that flips you to your liege's religion and gives you the trait. Beyond that, only select religions have a formable cult that you can attempt to spread your secret religion with. Also, note that anyone of your old faith is going to think you converted for real and treat you as an infidel.

For some reason the "you can request to rank up" notification doesn't show up for me anymore. Since the decision is not in the intrigue I can't set it to high priority. How can I fix that?

That's strange. Are you actually getting a title loss on succession warning? Duchies and counties are supposed to have their succession laws suppressed by their holder's primary title. That said elective does act like primogeniture for all lower titles whenever the heir elect is not of your dynasty. Can you double check who you're voting for and what their dynasty is?

You could indeed grant the duchy to your heir and that would do the trick. Just be careful the heir doesn't get elected emperor since that will prevent de jure drift of duchies into kingdoms (you can only have titles drift into your primary title so as kasier you can only have kingdoms drift into HRE). The most reliable way to keep yourself from becoming emperor would be to keep electing women as queens of Frisia. And get them a good Stewardship education so you can personally hold all the land except what belongs to the MR and keep getting your vote.

If you lose, you'll be imprisoned and your liege will have cause to revoke one of your titles. If you're worried about losing at this point, I would try to get a white peace, which IIRC will prevent this.

As to the other part: You're Countess Regnant of <county> and Queen Consort of Hungary. If you're unlanded it will be game over.

And what is the best thing to do in this situation? I'm quite new in this game and first time I'm, playing as a queen now and don't know how much power queens have in the game.
You don't have any power over Hungary as Queen Consort, but conversely you are ruler in your own right of your county or counties and your husband has no power over them. You will take an opinion penalty from any male vassals unless you are Cathar, Messalian, Bogomilist, follow an Indian religion, or are of Basque culture (or have advanced status of women laws, but since you mentioned crown authority, that says you're playing without Conclave so those don't exist for you). Anybody with a weak claim on your title(s) can declare war on you for it at any time. And unless your marriage to the King of Hungary is matrilineal, you will face a game over at succession unless your succession law permits you to restrict succession of your county(s) to your own dynasty. Otherwise you're identical to a male ruler except that Seduction focus works on men instead of women.

Your best bet is probably to ensure that the heir to Hungary is of your dynasty somehow. This will make you independent of Leon.

Nope. Not about any of my stuff, anyway - there's one about some bishopric.

Duchies and counties are supposed to have their succession laws suppressed by their holder's primary title. That said elective does act like primogeniture for all lower titles whenever the heir elect is not of your dynasty. Can you double check who you're voting for and what their dynasty is?

I'll double-check tonight, and post screenshots if it continues to be confusing. Maybe that's the problem: since the heir elect of the Empire is not of my dynasty - I have nowhere near the votes for that - all my stuff except the kingdom is acting as primogeniture.

On a side note, what was king Frans king of?

Frisia.

On becoming emperor all non-de jure vassals switch their allegiance to the imperial title. But de-jure vassals will remain vassalized to their de jure liege. So the MR will remain a vassal of Frisia.

That's good.

Good to know, thanks. :) Only one Genius in the coming generation, though, and I don't yet have the "women are just as good heirs as men" law yet, so that trick won't work this time. But I'm working on it! King Frans's mother and grandmother were both Queen before he was King, so he's very progressive on women's issues by the standards of the Middle Ages.

Ok thanks! I am pretty sure I can get a white peace here but I'm not quite sure how am I going to secure an heir. I didn't actually know that if I don't have titles that the game would end.

Anyway, the war is kind of in a stalemate situation where my army was actually defeated by a random French ally and king of Leon has no armies because he fought with Galicia for like 10 years and got soundly beaten. I already sieged through Leon and 2 out of 3 holdings before the French came, so he will not get much troops to fight with in the near future :D
