Regarding South Africa and the 'Anti-Colonialist Crusade' focus - do the events required to puppet the Sub-Saharan nations you need for CKII still fire if one of South Africa's puppets, rather than South Africa directly, control the states in question?

I ask because I'm nearly finished with the achievement (just need to mop up Kenya and then seize London with my Army Group stationed in Afro-Ireland), but Zimbabwe got puppeted via their event a week ago, and *suddenly took control of the Congo away from me,* despite their having no divisions and no control over any Congolese territories. They won't give the Congo back to South Africa, either. Please tell me the events will still fire if South Africa's puppets have ownership...!

I have not gotten as far as you on this achivement yet, going a different route though, portugal is to well defended so going to march up the nile and then try to invade england.

You should be able to ask for the territory via diplo options. they have no war score and ought to give it to you.

I did ask, and they do not. They refuse to give up the state.

The times I've tried (and failed) to get this achievement I've ended up with gigantic puppet states controlling way too much territory, so it's quite possible the events aren't firing correctly.

I don't think the events require you to be at war or occupy the states per se (i.e. not own it), so it should still be possible to fully defeat the Allies, annex the relevant states, and just wait for the event to release the puppet.

This is supposed to be one of the hardest achivements, and will probably keep getting harder as long as exploits are plugged and AI is improved.

So far I seem to be fetting furthest to dow portugal late 38, conquer their african assets and as many islands as I can(usually get stuck before I can reach mainland portugal). Then dow england after germany has conqured europe, get madagaskar from france (where I am at now) and I guess Ill have to fight the allies for africa then try to peace out portugal from northern africa and then on to end ww2, hopefully before USA joins.
