One small issue I've found is that you can no longer choose who educates your courtiers' children. I choose, for example, to have a courtier's son tutored by my Marshal, but a few moments later the tutor of that child randomly becomes somebody else.
It would be good if it was changed back since obviously its now much harder to "breed" talented courtiers to fulfill specific roles on your Council, lead armies, etc.

No because it is an improvement of the AI, the AI now targets the most profitable sea provinces and tries to build up their own trade regions in order to push as much money out of it as possible.
I've made a proper bug report about this, since it quite obviously is a bug: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum...h-no-holdings-don-t-suffer-distance-penalties
Tl;dr version: Any patrician with no normal holdings suffers absolutely no distance penalties to trade post building. Gotlanders can build in Constantinople on day 0.

Supposedly the trade posts are WAD which is just silly. This is the main issue keeping me from playing now.

i don't think it will be too hard to mod out but I really hope this is actually changed in the patch. It is just as immersion breaking to see Genoa with tradeposts in Denmark as it is to see Norse pagans in India.

I think I'm going to wait until they fix adventurers messing up the world and Kings/Empires committing cultural genocide against their vassals before I play CK2 again. Those two things are just too irritating. In my last game the culture map made me cringe. Nearly all of Italy was German culture, and nearly all of France was Castillian.

Just because I'm not playing in Europe, doesn't mean that I want it to become a giant, homogenous, German, Frankish, and Castille. culture blob. And just because I'm not playing in the east doesn't mean I want an 'adventurer!' to single handedly destroy the Byzantine empire by depleting their army with his magical zombies, and leaving them defenseless against follow up Rumite, Egyptian, and Cumanian invasions.

CKZ is real, and it's adventurers leading undead hordes of 60,000 zombies.

I am seeing a MP bug where when I host a game it generates two games in the internet search window, one that shows slots available, and the other that show no slots with two different server ID's. The one with no slots visible is the correct ID when compared to my player information. I cannot be joined in this configuration.

Any suggestions?

I'm the other party in this situation. We've previously deleted and re-made our firewall rules for this game. Even went as far as setting up a VPN and only got MP to work once to start a game in the 2.1.1 version, but in 2.1.1 or 2.1.2.1 versions we have yet to get multiplayer working again. Before this patch, MP was perfect with the "Direct to IP" option. We even tried setting a game up with that and had a Marriage Diplomacy not do anything. We are waiting for (hopefully) the "Direct to IP" option to come back until the Steam MP side works.

He's angry that rulers have their differently cultured vassals kid educated so they'll have culture of their liege. You know, like player would. He's angry that AI is smart, and thats causes most cultures go go extinct, what didn't happen in history.

No, that's not it at all. I mean, the over-writing of cultures happens too easily in this game, but that's not my complaint. No, there's still the fact that your ruler can't educate a child if he's on the council for his liege. There's a second bug where even after swearing fealty to a liege (and converting to their culture!) the game will still deny you the opportunity to educate children in the realm with the excuse "child would be hostage in a foreign power." It's kind of speedbumped a couple of my games because I can't really set up my next generation.

Or maybe he is angry the differently cultured vassals are not refusing their liege more often, to avoid having their heir change culture. You know, like a player would. See how annoying is when people are sarcastic at you?

Personally, I don't think having small cultures to go extinct withing a short span of time is much fun or improve the gameplay at all. Even as a way to strength the AI, the benefits are rather minor so it hardly worth it. That said, such issue is definitively not a bug and, as such, probably shouldn't be discussed here.

Added missing localization for jungle terrain combat effect tooltip.

This hasn't been fixed. It still shows up as something like "jungle_bonus_desc" (I can't remember exactly what it said)

Also, I'm having an issue where every single nation will suddenly become hostile to one another. It happens seemingly at random, and the only way to fix it is to reload a previous save, but it will inevitably happen again and again.

Great patch though, that revolt thing just made India completely unplayable before.

Yeah causing most cultures to go extinct irks me too :D The game just looses diversity too fast.

The thing is that the game overwrites your choice of guardian to a default one soon after unpause. Even if you try to educate those children by yourself, you are going to "lose" the ward soon after.

This patch seems to have cured the memory shortage for me, yippee.

Wishing everyone else with memory crashes in 2.1.1 luck.

Aye.

Actually, scratch that, it hasn't. Guess I should have restarted my computer after deactivating the workaround and posting here. Soz.

Aye.

Small request

For Hindu characters, would it be possible to add an intrigue option "invite Vaishya to court"

I have found there seems to be a shortage of them and this is a problem if I win a Holy war against the Muslims and need to hand cities out.
