Eh. If you know exactly what your target is, I don't really see what the issue is.

I think it's better to just have all the music in one big package on the front page. It shaves off about 10 items from the DLC list, which honestly would scare newer players off sometimes.

Well except that "Hymns of Revelation" isn't in "Crusader Kings II: Ultimate Music Pack Collection" so not all the music is in "one big package" unfortunately. And sure if you know exactly what your target is most shopping decisions become easy, but normally companies strive to make it easier to spend money, not harder ... ;)

Aren't many pagans in the 1066+ start dates.

It's not the pagans, it's the Zoroastrians and Wincest feature that ToG is all about.

I imagine a giveaway this big can turn into great for Paradox, but what about their and Steam support people? They have to deal with all the new players now.

That's funny. The first image on the pack's screenshots is Hymns of Revelation.

That's what mods are for. There's nothing wrong with CK2's graphics.
No there's not but imagine how it'd look with the atmospheric things they added in HoI4.

  • Imperator: Rome Sign Up
Hello I just signed up to paradox plaza. I actually started doing paradox interactive games because I am a Romaphile. I love games with Rome in them. I was looking for games with Rome on steam and found Europa Universalis Rome. I enjoyed it and it encouraged me to buy other paradox interactive games. I bought Vic II and EU IV and then got CK II for free on steam.

I really wish any dlc more than say, 1-2 years old was made free, I've seen way too many people put off by the huge number of DLC content, and even when the base game is free they don't think they can get the full experience without paying hundreds of dollars for it. If old dlc was free then more new players would feel interested in picking up the game, and existing fans of the game aren't going to wait for the dlc to be made free, we are going to buy it on release either way.

Yeah I think that may be a good model, I think people would still buy their games, two years of getting to play is is quite an incentive.

Nobody needs a CK3 right now. CK2 is fine, and I would not mind if they release more DLCs.
I think, if they would lower the price for older DLCs - in a recognizable way -, that would help the further success of CK.

I agree, even when the DLC's were discounted on Steam all of them together came to the price of around £100, and I'd rather have more DLC's (cough playable holy orders cough) than CK3.
