Crusader Kings II freezing.

Crusader Kings II freezing is randoming freezing on my macbook pro. I brought the game last week and it ran fine but now it is freezing on my mac and now I can't even exit out of the game or force quit it the only way I can quit the game is by turing my mac off and on. My spec are.
Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB and I am running OS X 10.8.3

Your machine is well under the minimum spec for the game

ATI Radeon HD 6750 / NVIDIA GeForce 320 / NVIDIA GeForce 9600 or higher, 1024MB graphics memory required

but that would normally cause it to go slow, not crash altogether.

Can I ask why you're still on 10.8.3 not 10.8.5? Because OS updates like this are the only way to get video driver updates in Mac OS.

Are you running it with any mods? What version and checksum show on the main game menu?

And can I see the game's settings.txt and system.log files please.
