Crusader Kings II challenges after 1.111 upgrade.

Specifically:

· Geographic areas became greyed out with no ability to use them across central Europe

· Later in the game events will appear on the right side of the screen with a character and a picture but no link to do anything and you then have exit out of the game.

· This behavior doesn’t change no matter what time period you are in for the game. Even after de installing all the DSL



We've uninstalled the game and reinstalled in three separate times and the behavior does not change.

When we installed the game on his MAC with Operating system version the program worked as expected.


We acquired the game and all updates through downloads from STEAM.

Can you provide any hint as to what is going on or what we might need to change to make these areas playable again?

After contacting Paradox directly through their support line they recommended that we post our question her to this forum.

Your screenshots are unusably small, but from your description there's an installation problem. What checksum shows next to 1.111 in the main game menu, when you load the game up with no mods active?

Try doing a Verify in Steam until it finds nothing to fix. If that doesn't help, Try a full clean reinstall: move any valued save games elsewhere and uninstall the game from within Steam. Then manually delete ALL the CK2 directories from under BOTH the Steam and MyDocuments folders (exact locations described in the sticky File Locations thread above). Now reinstall the game from Steam, and run the Verify again just to make sure it all came down properly.
