quick question, would I need to restart my current game if I enable the new DLCs? I'm not Byzantine but will the Legacy of Rome DLC screw up the Orthodox AI in my current game as France?

no.
more accurately, the LOR Dlc doesn't affect the orthodox AI (it does add some events for Byzantines and consequently the Roman Empire if restored, but not enough to affect your game in france

it's kinda a shame the new dlc's aren't on sale :laugh:

LOR change the game - retinues are added which is changing game strongly and give more option for player on battlefield...
