Because he stated he likes the patch and I don't.Why would you disagree with it being his favorite? That's his opinion, and has absolutely nothing to do with your opinion of the DLC.
But you disagreed that it was his favorite DLC, you didn't say anywhere in your post that it was not your favorite. Unless you're a mind reader, you have to take his stated opinion at face value.Because he stated he likes the patch and I don't.

Helpful. I will check the modding section of this forum how to make my own mod. They have a common/defines folder now, so you can add your edits to it and preserve them across patches in your personal mod without worrying about new fields added in new patches. This also makes it easy to roll back without losing your changes. You should never edit the vanilla script files directly, but always save your edits in your personal mod folder.
sameI may have missed it but did anyone make a list of the changes between the last beta patch and the live patch? OR are they the same?

Here is a legitimate complaint from someone who played countless hours on CKII: why, once a non aggression pact has been concluded, can it never ever be broken? When there are even no family ties that bind us? Now I just have to wait decades until either ruler dies? Conclave should be about more diplomacy and flexibility not less...
I even ended my post with "Now I'm not saying you have no legitimate complaints, and you can of course have whatever opinion you like, but I don't think you can deduce what the majority of players think from your thread." which I thought would make that pretty clear.

I thought killing either member of the union, or the guy you have the non-aggression pact with, broke the pact?

Not entirely exploity imho, there are historical examples where such tactics were used, to draw a victim out of a league, only to then use their isolation to gobble em up. But it should come with a very strong dishonourable modifier.Or if the pact is based on a betrothal, breaking the betrothal breaks the pact. This allows for a bit of an exploit with coalitions/defensive pacts, as you can knock someone out of a defensive pact by forming a betrothal based NAP with them, break the betrothal, then attack them before they can rejoin the defensive pact.
Why indeed? I would like a way to break NAPs without killing either party.
Christians have never been able to declare holy wars or crusades against other Christian branches, only against heretics of their own branch.
If it has not always been the case, it has been for a very long time. Are you sure you were not playing a mod? Are you sure that Orthodoxy had not become a heresy of Catholicism in your game through a bug of some sort?
