Sad to see that this game is still not being bugfixed diligently. Such a poor fate for such a great game. But, I guess making quick money off of your unwaveringly loyal fans is more important than leaving a good product to be enjoyed for all time, anyways.

Did you even read the changelog for 2.4.1?

Delete your gfx/flags folder (its in the same place as your savegames, probably c: ... /mydocuments/paradox interactive/crusader kings ii) and let the game recreate it.

That only affects flags, not Coat of Arms. I do that every patch.

That did fix the black CoA problem for me in my existing game. Thanks Talq!
