Yesterday I bought Crusader Kings Complete on Steam, and I played it for a few minutes. Everything was fine. Started it again today, it played for a few minutes before crashing with a fatal error. I restarted, and the opening movie froze. I was able to kill bink video in task manager, and the game loaded, but when I started a new game, it immediately crashed with a fatal error before I got to the loading screen. I restarted again, this time the video played normally, the game loaded, and I played for about an hour. My leader died, and his son took over. When I went to open the court screen immediately after that, another fatal error.
I verified the game cache in Steam, and it found 2 files that needed repaired. I haven't run it since, but I plan to either this afternoon or tonight. I was really enjoying the game, but it's crashing a lot.
Any ideas on what's causing this, and what I could do to stop the crashing?
Edit: Played it without any problems. So I'm not sure what happened. Maybe verifying the game files fixed it.
