I've reached a point where whenever I try to save my game--whether it is quicksave, autosave, or manual save--the game simply shows me the rotating hourglass for a few seconds as if it's saving, and then stops, as if it was finished.

The problem is that whenever I go back to look at my savegame folder, no new saves have been added. I never get any error messages, nor do I ever get any crashes. The game just simply refuses to save my progress.

Apologies, since I am new to the forums, so I don't know what information is required.

I'm playing the Byzantine Empire from the 700s AD (I have all DLC and expansion packs), and I am using a number of Steam mods--however, I don't think the mods are to blame, because even when I have them disabled, the problem persists. The mods are:

-Slvrbuu's CKII Cheat Menu (don't judge me ^_^)
-Your Personal Castle
-Nuker1110' s Cheat Mod (again, don't judge)
-Auto Build Vanilla (2.2+ Beta)

Again, disabling the mods doesn't seem to affect the issue, and gameplay is perfectly normal--the only problem is that I can't save any of my progress.

My system specs:
-Acer Aspire V5-753G-9491
-NVIDIA GeForce GT 720M GPU with 2 GB dedicated VRAM
-Intel i7-4500U 1.8 Ghz core processor with Turbo Boost up to 3.0Ghz.
-6GB DDR3 L Memory
-Windows 8.1 64-bit.

Any assistance in this matter would be gratefully appreciated.

Since what change or update has this been happening?

Does this happen in both local and cloud saves?

Ironman and non-Ironman?

Manual and autosaves?

Please post a dxdiag.txt (you can delete everything after the end of the "Sound devices" section for brevity) and your Documents/CK2/settings.txt. From your Documents/Paradox/CK2/logs/ directory, post system.log . Open setup.log in notepad and search for 'checksum', post that line only here too please (only AFTER loading up the game with no mods active, so we get the unmodded checksum here).
