Ideal combination = CK2 + Medieval:Total War 1 (not 2) for field battles + Stronghold 1 (not 2) for sieges and castle built up.
Um CK 2 map and dynasty engine with more plots, And lets wait for Rome Total War 2....
I loved the castle battles in Shogun total war 2, but the strategic map stacking gets boring after a while.
To be true, all games of that kind get boring after the initial moments were theres little of political Chaos. When someone blobs it gets mainly have it all or loose it all due to stacks numbers. CK2 being maybe the first exception for me. And i think its a winner because its not war/focused, but dinasty and people focused, at least more than others.
The only problem i see is that being you player you and not your temporary moronic craven general it wouldn t be fair for the AI.
OTHO, how many TTW players tend just to stack and auto resolve, because after a while it get boring to battle again, and again and again.
