After watching the series War and Peace I had the idea of the possibility of the gameplay from crusader kings set in the 1700th to 1800th and rise of democracies and empires.
Of course it's unlikely to make a mod since the political climate was far different compared to the viking age, the peak of the medieval age and the early renaissance.
Another idea for this game is that it should just like CK2 focus on characters rather then nations since most of the events were caused by the strong and weak personalities of the monarchs and emperors ruling at that time.
One idea is to rework March of The Eagles as it's combat system is quite similar to CK2, however I fear that the engine would find it difficult to adapt from EU4ish grand strategy to CK2 role playing strategy.
What do you guys think, is it possible and would it be fun or am I just over my head?
