manpower to money, as per the recent dev diary, I think. Unused manpower creates more money representing more undrafted men working in civilian industries.
It would be unfair to say this is 'wrong', but it's not the one Lennartos was thinking of, as it has been part of the scene for a long time. Nuclear power plants (money to energy) was the one Lennartos meant ;).

Thats not conversion. Both arent. You do not turn manpower to money - its generated by them. The same is with Nuclear Installations - there are funds but its not generating energy from money. If thats what he was talking about then its a misunderstanding. Either he named it wrong (cause its not concersion) or there is yet some another thing hidden somwhere.

Important Q (one of the most wanted things by many): new resources - can we add em? Please make it moddable! I really want to make:
- metal
- rare metal
- steel
- minerals
- rare minerals
- rubber
- gas
- oil
- fuel
- coal
- energy
- food
- wood
maybe even something additional but those that I mentioned are basics
I know its a wargame but in reality war is always based on economy.

New resources - yesss, then there would be finally difference between countries that actually have stuff for heavy industry, and countries that doesn't (like Japan). Most of the countries at the time had agrarian economy, selling agrarian goods and buying heavy industrial stuff from abroad. This would work fantastic into expanding strategical planning, economical and world market simulation. At least having it moddable would be step ahead.

thats a lot of resources...not sure if the devs. could do all that......although, dosn't the current names cover the resources? Like Energy, covers coal, stuff like that....Shouldn't we add food as a resource? And then do some stuff, that makes food like something+something=food?

In my opinion what is very important is uranium: it is too oversimplified to assume that you can find it everywhere. I would make an exception for it and in this context Africa finally can assume the strategic importance it had and has.

According to the Cameco website, uranium was incredibly expensive in the 1930's; like $75,000 an ounce at the time when an average labourer was making $5 /week; cause you needed tons of ore to get a gram.

Belgian Congo was the source for the Manhattan Project's uranium.

Exactly. This is the reason why, as I said, Africa is strategically crucial.

-------

One more point about Africa is that the bulk of Free France force was 70% African

I thnink the only resource which should be added is food, but because of paradox policy is not possible (lack food could lead to famine -> not accepted by paradox). Fuel could be also added. Too many resources in the game could hurt gameplay IMHO.

Adding uranium ore is also unimportan because during II WW there was enough uranium ore for militiary programs. For example Germans has before war few uranium ore mines like those in sudeten (for example in Kowary).

Are you sure? What about USA without the African uranium?
