Arghhh another thread about CA. I've decided after much confusion in peoples posts, to see if we can come to a definate as to how this actually works within the mechanics.
If you want to add something as fact, please back it up with evidence, please do request something to be added without evidence. I will try to keep this first post with all proven mechanics for easier reference.
FACTS(V1.07b [XCSD]):
Empires
De Jure Kingdoms follow their Empires Laws, if they are a vassal of it.
If a kingdom is not de jure, they will not follow your CA.
A duchy of another de jure empire, follows the CA of its de jure kingdom/empire.
If a duchy has no crown to answer to - even if not de jure - it will answer to its de facto empire.
Kingdoms follow the CA of their de jure empire, even if they are vassalised.
Vassals of de jure kingdoms within empires do not have a malus towards their king for CA - this is instead incurred upon the emperor.
Possible Bug:
AI can raise CA as a de jure Kingdom vassal of an emperor. CA is unaffected, but they are dislike by their vassals for raising the CA. If the AI raises CA of a de jure kingdom and then becomes Emperor, the new CA will come into effect. Human players of a de jure kingdom can not affect their CA and are locked into the CA of the Empire as a vassal.
Kingdoms
UNKNOWN - not really I just haven't done this part yet.

This is just a start, all suggestions are welcome. This is not the thread for saying something is ahistorical.
