Don't worry, you won't get that from me. I try to be an honorable player and I would feel bad taking cheap shots at a nation that is having serious problems (hope others won't misinterpret this and think I will be a pushover ).
On a side note, we use this thread for general discussion I think. Personal matters like diplomacy would probably be confined to ICQ chats or an official diplomacy thread. Speaking of which, any one want to start one once the serious intrigue begins?

eh, i just tried the E BETA, and byz isnt that weak. in little more then 10 years, not only i get 40 gold inc but my manpower is also 70000. not to speak about techs...
are u guys thinking about using assasins?

btw who did choose a county/duchy/kingdom near byz? no one?

P.S. uhm i just tried to conect to valkyrie net... and my pc automaticaly goes back to the desktop

Well, I don't think it would be good to rule assassins out. Obviously you don't want to overuse them, but I think it's always a good option to keep open.

I think the only PC controlled countries near Byzantium are Hungary and Georgia.

BurningEGO- I just looked at the save game, the current Emperor is a severely wounded 4 year old. You might want to pick a Principality within the Empire with which to set up a good dynasty with. Obviously, the current Emperor isn't going to have much success in that area.

Gyah. Personally, I think anyone who can't be arsed to write the three letters of 'you' should expect assassins to be crawling out his ass on a daily basis. Honestly, is it so hard to make things easy on your readers?

I don't have a problem with you playing King of Denmark...I doubt Denmark has encountered many problems only six years in. I didn't play in the first game either. So, I'll be taking over Toscana with whatever retarded things the AI has done.

I think it's EST. I think most, if not all, of the other players for this game live in North America. At least, I hope so...this is the only time that works for me, after my son goes to bed.

Question - I know grabbing Kingtitles for actual Kingdoms is forbidden due to the fact that it allows the transfer of too much land at once. What about Kingtitles that don't come with any land, like Nubia, Navarra, or Venice?

i really dont know what is the problem of grabbing kingtitles... usually it takes more then 1000 prestige to do such a thing...

question- EST? u mean eastern usa? heck, that is -5 hours diference from GMT (Lisbon,London)... that means that when its 10pm in eastern usa, it is 3.00 of the morning in here

I would note that if that rule was intended to be copied over from the Great Game, then it is rather unclear in the first post. Our rule was that you could grab anything you liked, unless the target was excommunicated; in that case, you were only allowed to grab Count titles.

Permit me to correct you. Someone who is

a) Used to the internet
b) 14 years old
c) A nooblet

will often not write out every word. The rest of us have a certain degree of common courtesy, and understand that writing things out in full is the best way to make sure the recipient can easily extract meaning from the post.

You are, as a matter of fact, being extremely rude by Paradox standards : You are making us do a lot of work just to decipher what the devil you are saying. And all for the sake of saving two seconds of your typing time! I realise that other places on the Internet have low standards; but Paradox attracts (or did until HoI) a much better degree of player. I suggest you adapt yourself to the rules of this board, and drop the txtese that may be acceptable elsewhere.

One of us is a noob on these boards; that one would find it a good idea to take heed when the veteran gives advice. Take a close look at our respective post counts and join dates, and try to figure out from that which one of us is the noob. Then comport yourself accordingly.

PS. Thank you for dropping 'u' from your posts. Capital letters and apostrophes in the correct places are also very nice.
