Cross MP between Xbox and Steam

Hi Guys,

Is possible to have Crossplay between Steam version and Xbox Store Version (The one included in Xbox Game Pass for PC)?

I noticed that the version isn't the same (Steam 1.8.1 and XB 1.8.0) and I tried recently with a friend and couldn't connect. I was wondering if this was related to connectivity issues or Cross MP problems.

1st. Please register your game / sync your steam account to access Tech Support Sub-forum (https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...team-account-to-sync-your-owned-items.894506/).

Second, Crossplay should be functional, but the issue is that non steam platforms may not necessarily push PDX's patches together. One of you two has opted into the latest Beta update. All players in an MP game need to have the same Version and Checksum, otherwise they can't connect.

Cross platform MP doesnt work yet, although it is something we are working on and aiming to have in the future. The goal is that you should be able to play together no matter where you get the game. Most likely it will first appear as an optional setting to help us test (so steam players can turn on cross platform), but we will let you know when that works

Hi, just got Hoi4 in xbox game pass and wanted to play with friends who are playing it on steam but i cant find there game/lobby. Is crossplay still not available or do they need to adjust crossplay in steam/hoi4 settings.
