Not really, since we had the same kings, but we were two kingdoms, same thing with the Habsburgs, all those kings had to be crowned kings of Croatia in order to rule it.
But croatians didn't have the least word to say about that, especially later at the time of the Dual Monarchy. ;)

BTW, I don't think historical monarchs, as they're mostly Habsburg (and those that aren't are hungarians or poles). Since Croatia in independent in Aberration, we have to find new monarchs.

Do you know some line of proeminent croatian nobles that could have chosen as kings ?

Same thing with events, we need a few fantasy events.

The best is that you play a game of Aberration (with Croatia or another country, Eire is interesting, and Bavaria is fun), and see the global setup. This'll give you ideas.

croatia and hungary were in personal union. it was very loose in the early days. most import part being that croatian nobles paid no taxes to the king. croatia had a separate parliament and the king was coronated separately. the titles hungary, croatia and dalmatia were on equal status. 'regnii sociae' or something like that can't remember well. the attempts to dispute this and more aggressive hungarian stance started after napoleonic wars... atempt to assimilate towards a greater hungary...

anyway, same logic could be applied that in a way hungary was under croatia, since anjou(bloody freedom people*JOKE*) were installed primarily because of the croatian nobles, and zapolya are originaly an ancient croatian lineage.

also, habsburg were elected kings of croatia in a separate parliament at cetingrad

for those with limited visualisation capabilities it was kinda like the union of poland and lithuania in the early days

House Šubić of Bribir had pretty much entire Croatia as their personal fief at that time. Start with Mladen II?

KoC, any other Croatian or just anybody knowledgeable, would you be able to provide a list of the Bans of Croatia and Slavonia between 1408 and 1464 and perhaps some information on what was going on in Croatia during the Hungarian civil war after Albrecht of Hapsburg's death? I know that Ulrich of Cilli and Laszlo Garai both were bans of Croatia or Slavonia for a while during that time, and it would be very useful to know when, since I have not managed to find exact data on that. Thanks in advance :)

1)Read Brownbeard's post.

2)The Ban's I listed, but probably the member's of the Zrinski family had the biggest chance to be crowned kings and after them the member's of the Frankopan family.

lol, I don't think they had latex back then.

there is a very simple path that must be undertaken.

once you diploannex ragusa you get the 'Dubrovnik East India Company' event

and then you get an event to smuggle rubber tree seeds from the amazonas to the colonies in east india... once you get rubber you're halfway to latex...

and our latex rulers will be both beatiful and terrible, like the sun and the stars, day and night, all will worship them at their palace on top of velebit. and like valkyries, they will lead croat armies to victory...

I believe you on that matter. Can you find the line of succession.
For events, could you check if the line has been broken, and/or if there's been internal strife among the family ?

I think Laszlo Garai was the Croatian Ban from 1453 to 1455(I am not 100% sure).

as far as my lore of history goes, the šubić(zrinski) were all very capable warriors and scored quite a few epic victories against the ottomans. there was never any war or familial strife(they could not afford it being between habsburg and osmanli)

Ok, great for the monarchs. Could you put them in EU2-format ?
Do you have knowledge of how good they were in Military (rather good as you say), Administrative and Diplomatic skills, individually ? Based on achievements and trivia ?

But in Aberration the Turks have been stopped by the Byzantine Empire.

I forgot to add that in my mod Ragusa(Dubrovnik) will be a Center of Trade, will a CoT be added for Ragusa in Aberration? And I have a few more questions:

How do I change a county's name?(I would like to change the name of Ragusa to The Dubrovnik Republic).

How do I change a provinces name?

It depends on what we agree to include. There should be a good reason to make Ragusa a CoT. ;)

Go into Config folder, and open text.csv file.

The province or the city ?
If it's the province, open province.csv in the DB folder.
If it's the city, either edit province.csv or the savegame/scenario files.

And you can't change the name that appears on the map. ;)

1)The Dubrovnik Republic was a major trading(merchant)power until the discovery of America, just like Venice and Genoa were.

2)Thanks.

3)Thanks again. :D

4)Are you serious? Why would I change the name in the first place,if it doesn't appear on the map.

A CoT doesn't indicate a trading power, but a 'place' controlling the trade of the environs. Venice and Genoa were controlling the trade of the north-eastern med, hence the reason why they have CoTs to start with. The OE got the option to have a CoT in Thrace to represent the closing of the straits towards the Black Sea. Alexandria represents the trade going on in that region, wich was a major trading center for eastern spices and silks.
All italian cities were trading powers, but they don't have a CoT.

But the Balkans don't have a CoT at the start,so I think it should be given to Ragusa in the 1419 scenario.
