I recently switched my HoI2 with DD (ver. 1.3a). I have to admit i had no problems with running the game untill now. But when loading my last game some errors occur.
It says:

"Database Mismatch (type = 4712 / id 1004695) aleready used!"

I can continue with the ignore option and theres another error with different id. Again ignore and the game loads.

Anyone knows what this error is? Did it mess up my game? Can I fix it or just ignore and play on?

Last save before this is a half year back in time trip (during war). So please help.

I've had the same problem but with 1.2 in a late game with Germany. I was on the verge of annexing the US in '47 and started seeing the errors. It still allowed the game to load with no noticeable problems, but the game would always unexpectedly crash whenever I clicked on certain provinces at certain times... it was weird.

Is your game crashing at all later in the game?

In a recent game as the Nat Chi - I joined the Allies and got given most of the US Army in Africa as expeditionary forces (which did my TC no good at all). I gave all of it back and switched the No expeditionary forces from US on.
Carried on with the game, saved it and when I reloaded I got a simialr message to yours. When I checked a through all my troops I still had the 101st Airborne marching between two desert territiories, but I couldn't give it back because according to the program they were Chinese troops rather than expeditionary forces. In the next territory there was the US version of the 101st Airborne (probably feeling a little confused about these Chinese guys who all had the same names :).
As far as I know they only way around this is to make a note of the numbers (i.e. id 1004695), find both occurences in the save file, and delete the one that shouldn't be there. I have also had a similar thing as both the Russians and Germans when I have built loads of troops - maybe if one division is being SR'ed when a peace deal is struck the game is happy enough to re-use its id - it can't be anything as obvious as normal SR-ing as this happens too often and you would have loads of duplicate ids

Only thing I can think of...

Tagros is right the problem should be exactly as he describes. I encounter this problem almost in every game. Seems to be linked with the expeditionary forces AI spams. To me it seems that problem happens if AI gives you expeditionary forces which were expeditionary forces from some other allie already. Played as Hungary I got like 6-7 Romanian generals if not even more under my generals portfolio and about 20 troops which were never mine. It seems that if AI allie has too many troops and your IC is kind of superior to his then it can spam like hundreds and hundreds of divisions and from some point quite many automatically become your's.

In the safe and scenario files units are described with "type" which is dependent on the country the unit is coming from, and every unit on the map has its own "id". Theoretically the problem should disappear when the units are given a new, unique id which is high enough to be unlikely already used by the program in that save, like 9763797 for exampel. Honestly I have to admit that I do not really know how exactly expedition forces are handled in the safe files.

Both errors are for the same thing. First for corps, second for division. Both corps and division are the same. What is more, as in Tagros' case, its 101st Airborne.

I'm sure your question has already been answered, but here I go anyway.
1) 99% of the time that error is for a Paratroop unit that has been loaded onto both an Air Transport AND a Naval Transport, duplicating itself.
2) 99% of the time you can ignore the error and continue without problems.
3) You can ignore it most of time, if not you can edit the savegame and delete the one of the two units from the save game.

Oddly enough, I have had almost the same issue as Mietek, but with the UK's (AI) 1st Airborne division appearing twice. As per his screenshot, when I loaded up as the UK (after identifying the culprits from looking in the save game file), the two divisions appeared invisibly in Agadez. One was actually embarked on a ship in the Med, whilst the other clone division was emplaned in a transprt plane in Sheffield. I simply disbanded both divisions, saved and reloaded as the country I was playing and continued on without any more issues (other than the AI deciding to deploy 3 garrison divisions in my capital and take all my other garrisons off anti-partisan duties whilst I was gone)

Edit: Just properly read xtfoster's response.
1) Yep, just as in my example
3) Editing the save game may not work. I tried removing both divisions, however I then got an error saying; Unknown: "extra1 = naval_asw"
I suspect, though didin't bother confirming as I just decided to load up as the UK and disband the divisions instead, that this is related to the fleet in the middle of the Med which was transporting one of the divisions at the time. The string given as the error seems to be a bit of a red herring but I've been unable to identify exactly what is causing the problem (I have been unable to identify an sort of flag in the fleet's composition to indicate that it is carrying anything)
