critical error after japs make Rep of china

I'm playing with the 1.04 patch installed, checksum (XMAR). Been playing a Germany 36 game. It's now Aug 26, 1936. Aug 25 '36 or about then, Japanese released Nat china and made Nat China into Puppet Republic of china. Game accepted the events. I got 10 influence with Rep of China and more with Japan. Then bout 1200 Aug 26, 1936. I get the following Critical error message, oh I've gotten it twice so far in the game here. This one makes 3.

Critical error: "--- "can't open 'ai\u02_1936.ai'--- do you still want to continue?'

I have tried 'retry' twice and got ctd. then, this last time i hit 'ignore'. game still seems to be running, but that is broke now? what is "u02_1936.ai"? I can see it in the games 'ai folder', but i don't know what could be wrong with it that the game can't open it.

will critical error affect Germany in the game?

I also should be running the addon "Fall of the Dragon v 2.1, but i have no idea how to check that.

Also, just got the following Intel briefing screen.... "Communist China says "Macao shall be ours" in "Mao claims Macao".

I also have a Dissent of 20.23% in green

Any assistance would be very nice

here is an update... ok, so i played the saved game that gave me this problem yesterday. It seems to be working perfect today. i didn't get any errors or anything. I do like the events for the "dragon" mod. it's really kewl.

Today my Germany annexed Poland in just 33 days now i'm off to take care of France. I also have Nationalist Spain as an ally and I took Gibraltar from England and i hold Ceuta side of the Straights as well.

Maybe the "error' message was an error in and of itself :rofl:

anyways, thanks again for a great mod. I guess this report can be closed seeing as I couldn't repeat the problem today.
