My most recent encounter with the Unbidden ended quickly when I jumped into their system minutes after they spawned and took them apart like abstract art. Seriously, spawning in the system of the pacifist xenophilic collectivists who just HAPPENED to have the most powerful navy in the entire galaxy was a pretty dopey move on their part.

This is similar to a situation I had in the very previous game I had where the Unbidden (who quite frankly need to gtfo so other crises can have a go) spawned in a freaking awakened empire's borders! Simultaneously the smallest yet most powerful nation in the galaxy and they spawned in their borders. Needless to say they got wiped out.

I think these crisies are getting ruined by random circumstance. They should be reworked to look for a potentially weak nation to spawn in, so they can establish a firm foothold. At they very least they need to not spawn in that one nation who will automatically have a stronger navy than them (seriously, it was the unbidden vs a 90k fleet. To think I once thought these spawns were too strong!)

At the very least, it shouldn't spawn in the center of the most powerful state on in the map. Seriously, I want to see a Crisis do things, not have to crush it in its first days.

The funniest part was that I was the only one who ever SAW them, let alone attacked them. I could have killed them in secret and nobody would have ever known.

Not just the Unbidden.
In my most recent Stellaris playthrough, I got the Prethoryn- for the very first time ever, I might add.
They spawned in my Fanatic Purifier vassal that only bordered myself, a Spiritualist Fallen Empire, and dark space. They managed to infest precisely two worlds- one of which was the Fallen Empires Holy World. This was funny, especially considering the FE cleansed it within 2 weeks. I quickly took care of the other world and ended them.
Literally the only three factions which ever encountered Prethoryn fleets were me, my vassal (who didn't lose a single one of their colonies, the Prethoryn infested an uninhabited desert world in their space), and the FE. It was hilarious when the End Crisis pop up said the whole galaxy was celebrating- why? They were never threatened.
