I'm playing as Sweden and already from the beginning i sat up the goal to take the opportunity to take Finland back during the Crimean war when Russia will be busy in the south. Unfortunalety for me, they went with "wait and see" on that event, will it trigger again? It's late 1857 now.

I tried to trigger it by myself by typing "event 2513" but that only created a war between me and the Ottoman empire. Is there a way to manually create the crimean war? So that the event creates a war between Russia and Ottoman instead of me and Ottoman when i trigger it.

You have to add the country code after the event if you want to firing the event for a specific country, so in your case it would have been event 2513 rus.

However, I've found that in Vic due to the complex event chains trying to manually fire events breaks things as often as not. Your better bet would be to reload from and earlier save and hope they choose the correct option this time, as that should preserve the chain.

Or you can delete events history from saved game. Either way, if specific event fired already (most important - coded to fire on a specific date) it is done and dusted - only random events firing xx times per game. Scripted conflicts are gone after specific events are used. Try to search for AI-AI events in \db. Sometimes forcing AI works. To be pretty sure that all events fired, you must run game with speeds below normal (game have huge problems with activating events at all or in proper order). I running game on above normal speed and I experiencing broken events every single game, but slower speeds are just tooooo slow for me so I must live with '101 event idiocies'. :D

Regarding Sweden v Russia. Dont think that it will be easy. AI teleporting units around battlefield ;). You see nothing, nothing and suddenly 50 divisions appearing where should be an empty space. Often AI fighting only against human, leaving AI-AI fronts completly unprotected. And Crimean War is a specific war. If Russia doing well on the south you can capture Finland and gain a separate peace deal, but if Russia is stalled/routed in the south there is no chance for peace deal. Also in most cases scripted peace events firing after Treaty of the Paris. So you can plan to take Finland, but most probably at some stage auto Return to Status Quo pop in and thats about it folks! ;)

that is only in VIP - there are no treaty of Paris events in vanilla Victoria:Revolutions.
