The actual mess that the UPE and Eutopia 3

Eutopia was a mess long before E3. First thing my character did as a deputy minister was stop a confrontation between a jeepful of AK-47 armed terrorists and a mob. So really, this coup doesn't shock me at all.

We will deal with the loose ends as best we can. There are some changes and events specifically related to these items you mention coming up that we have been working on for some time. They say that patience is a virtue.

I only wanted to put them on the list of items to be considered, so they not be forgotten accidentially. You have acknowledged the request, which is great! I didn't mean to put any time pressure on you or the other mods.

There's a difference between "can't be bothered" and "so busy putting out fires by problem players that they don't have time". Do try to keep in mind that while we're simultaneously coming up with new challenges and storylines, responding to every NPC summons into an office to say "why don't you do this now? tell me what you think of this idea", working on improving the game, balancing every individual character's secret schemes and conspiracies behind the curtain, and dealing with complaints, suggestions, and requests, we also have families and lives to attend to in this 'real world' thing.

I apologize for the poor choice of wording. I was refering to a prior message or post from The_Hawk, making clear it was not an economic game, and wouldn't be. I should have said something like, "...had made the explicit decision not to..." instead.

And I think we can all agree that by its very nature, Eutopia is an implausible place.

I read through the new rules for Eutopia 4. The changes look quite good, particular the items covered in 37-40, elections, special interest groups, ministries, and voting blocs, as well as 46-47, replacing absent ministers and budget process. The mod corps has done good work on this. Thanks for your effort.

Rule 47 says the President must propose a budget every year, which would be three times per term, i.e. every 4 weeks in real time. Is this what was intended, or was it once per term?

The abbreviations are fairly straightforward...Ministry/Minister of Interior, Ministry/Minister of Finance, Ministry/Minister of Social Services. Or you can call the it Finance Ministry, etc. Simple, really.
