AUGUST 1941 part 2
Although there was resistance, the assault on Bohemia&Moravia, was going as planned (Im sorry if I offended someone, by the name I chose for the part of the land im attacking. But you have to understand my point, that I cant name it Czechoslovakia, because Slovakia and the other part have fallen separately and second I neither can name it the CZE republic, because there was no such country at the time. I have edited the name I used to Bohemia&Moravia).
The offensives in Northern Germany seemed, that they were not able to fall on fruitable ground. Because already the second offensive failed. The Soviet filed marshals demanded a one week pause of attack, in order that the troops could reorganize (After few people were shot, the demand was accepted).
Maybe the most successful of all operations was the one, which had to encircle Budapest and take the city.
Till 10th August, all battles for the provinces around Budapest have been won and an offensive on Budapest would begin shortly.
After some recovery time, the second attack on Leipzig has begun This time the Soviet troops were in much batter shape, as in the days after the fall of Berlin and were thus able to take the province easily.
The paper divisions in Bohemia&Moravia, were not even close to the strenght, to stop the progress.
On 12th August, the Germans have finally seen how seriously their position in Budapest was. They started an attack, to relive the garrison of the city. But their forces in the area, were not really in the shape to conduct any offensive maneuvers.

AUGUST 1941 part 3
The battle for Budapest:
A last attempt has been made, by the German army, to relive the garrison of the besieged city, by starting an attack Gyor. The attack failed. The German forces were not in a shape, to start any major counterattacking.
The Battle for Budapest itself, was indeed bloody. The German garrison resisted the whole night, between 15th and 16th August, before its commander has capitulated. One day later, the remains of the Hungarian army have decided to make a final stand, till the last man. They have been crushed.
The battle for Vienna:
It took the Soviet army much more effort, to defeat the armies, holding the Austrian capital, as the capital of the whole German Reich. The forces holding the city were fresh and dug in, thats why it was quite a challenge to force them to retreat.
The battle for Strakonice:
On 18th august, the whole Bohemia&Moravia, region has been already occupied. The only resistance was still in the province Strakonice.
When the province was occupied, it came as a great surprise, when the Germans started a counterattack. And it was an even greater surprise, that the Soviet forces were defeated!
Well although the province was reoccupied by the Germans, the victory they achieved was kinda phyric. Since a half of their army, became paper divisions, which were lost after a devastating Soviet counterattack with CAS support.
The only major German armies, were located in Austria and Bavaria, the core of the Nazi Reich. Those guys were dug in and their divisions were in a very good shape (No offense about the name thing).

AUGUST 1941 part 4
To wards the end of the month, North Germany was overrun. The fastest Soviet Tanks, were already on the way to Amsterdam and Essen. The only area, which was still decently defended and where the majority of the German troops was located, was in Bavaria-Austria-Slovenia region. Those troopers were ready to fight till the last man and they should. The Germans made up a stiff resistance in the defense of Maribor.
Nuremberg was also a battle till death area. Probably the Nazis feared the trials, which would take place there in 3 moths later.
Total air superiority, total screwed:
On 23th August, the Soviet interceptors encountered highly advanced German aircraft. The Soviet high command, has immediately dispatched 4 extra squadrons of interceptors, to help them. Although they didn't have too many looses, the interceptors were totally defeated.
The next German pray were the Soviet CAS. The damage they have inflicted on them was so big, that they were out of action for atleast 2 weeks.
The last one that took a beating, were the bombers. The damage done ti them during the battle, threw them out of action, till the end of the war and even longer. This defeats came as a great surprise for the Red army. Stalin has immediately ordered the building of Fighters and escort fighters for the bombers. Since the allies will probably have more, more advanced aircraft to deal with.
Strakonice were successfully defended for the last time in the war (Thats because there was no battle for the area, after this one).
In the meantime the Red elite, has successfully forced the rest of the German army in Slovenia, to retreat and was on its way to conquer Veneto, in order to encircle the rest of the Axis army in the Balkan. If you guys want to vote about something, here is your chance. Where should be the Red elite (The 12 motorized divisions with SPA attachments) sent after the defeat of the Axis (USA or UK or Africa).

AUGUST 1941 part 5
The battles for Frankfurt am Main:
With Schweinfurt occupied, the Soviet army has started an assault on Frankfurt am main. But the attack failed, due to a large quantity of enemy reinforcements. The Soviets were fully exhausted, on the end of the battle.
Just 2 days later, with Kessel taken, another assault has begun. Although the Soviets have contributed another 120.000 troops to the attack, it has failed again.
The 2 defeats made Stalin furious. He has forced the STAVKA commanders to renew the attack, as soon as possible, or heads will roll. When Nuremberg was occupied a day later, the Red army has started a final assault, with more than half a million troops. The defenders already exhausted of the previous battles, were broken and forced to retreat. Those attacks were taking its tool on the Red army, with its manpower, which was constantly over 2100, from the start of the war, decreasing under 2050 (With almost 3 manpower reinforcements a day and minimum troops built in the time. Mostly airplanes, ships, HQs and about 12 panzer divisions). The complete causalities will be reported on the end of the war.
With Slovenia taken, an assault deeper into Austria has begun. The mountainous province Klagenfurt was heavily defended and the only reason it has fallen so fast, was that the Germans were outnumbered atleast 7:1.
Salzburg has been also hit heavily, before the local defense has surrendered.
A battle for rain city. If the assaults would go on as planed, than we will eventually pocket and destroy the whole German army, somewhere in Austria.
