After seeing the recent patch notes introducing a football stadium and match settings and what not, (which I am very excited for) I decided to post finally.
For a while I have been thinking it would be very fun to be able to manage sports teams of your city. Even in real life often times people think about great cities around the world and the teams that represent them. I think it would be a great addition to add in multiple sports, Basketball, Football (American), "Soccer", Hockey, Baseball...And so on. And then allowing you as the mayor to manage these attractions in your city. I understand this isn't a sport simulator however I think it would be very enticing to create an environment in your city based solely around a sports team. People worship their teams in real life, it could be used as a way to attract tourists to your city, attract visitors to certain areas of your city; even going as far as possibly adding in a district policy that is specific to the stadium allowing for restaurants and events to be held year round in these areas.
I think it would be amazing to have great depth in these aspects as far as choosing your teams name, their sport, allowing the player to use their money to further your team, essentially creating that legacy. Maybe there could even be notifications of your teams success in the regular season and playoffs. If your team wins a championship that would drive sales for the coming years and increase the attraction values.
I often find myself with WAY too much money while creating my city, sometimes upwards of a nearly a hundred millions dollars and I really don't have anywhere to spend it, so I think it would be great to have some mechanics in the game to pool your money into and ultimately grow your city in different ways.
Just something to think about. DEPTH is what I am looking for.
