Just got the game not too long ago, and have really enjoyed it, although, the recent spate of bad events lowering my stability has been a bit of a thorn.

My question is this, I am playing Austria in the Grand Campaign, and have reached the required level to appoint a chief justice, but, the game won't let me. Is there some cost to doing this that the game isn't letting me in on? I haven't found anything in the manual, or in the game to tell me if there is something I haven't done, or how much money, if any, is required.

Is this a bug in the game? I started this one before downloading the patch, so is anyone aware of this bug? Did I miss something somewhere?

Yes, Evangeline is my real name. :)

Thanks.

In order to promote chief justice, you need to have a tax collector in the province first. That could be the problem? Or you just don't have enough cash.

I have the tax collector...

I have a tax collector in every province I own. My problem is this, I have nearly 800 gold now, a tax collector, and the appropriate infrastructure level, which is 3.

What is the exact cost of building a cheif justice? I can build everything else for level 3 infrastructure but that.

Please.....HEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!

It starts at 100d, do it should be 100d + whatever inflation you now have.

Are you playing EU or EUII? I think there is a bug in EUII where the mouse over says that you can build chief justices at infrastructure level 3 (which is correct in EU) rather than infrastructure level 4 (which is correct for EUII if I'm remembering right). DOn't know if they patched this. I don't have EUII.

Sorry, folks...I'm playing EU2.

Thanks, by the way. I'll bet that is the problem. Just a bit shy of Infra 4.
