These could work like a vassal contract, but without the contract part.

The marriage contract clauses could entail:
Alliance and call to arms:
Defensive wars
Offensive wars
Dynasty/civil wars.

Initial marriage
Payment of gold, dowry - thank you Sagrifizius
Providing estates for wife to live of.

Which dynasty the children will belong to

Marriage + vassalage
Whether the alliance also means that the realms will merge.

I like it! It could maybe also play into peace negotiations?
(Also the word you're looking for is "dowry") :D

I believe that from the game's perspective, marriage alliances aren't "alliances" in the modern sense, but the medieval sense of honor would require rulers to come to the aid of their in-laws. Alliances aren't really "formed" like they were in CKIII, but the marriage is an alliance. I think this exists so that the player can't exploit the alliance system by calling in allies but avoiding calls to arms.

I believe that the marriage == alliance policy exists more to punish the player for expanding their realm via marriage than anything else. Having to deal constantly with 5-15 allies constantly calling you into their petty county conquests and peasant revolt defenses is enough to make you stop wanting to have children in this game.
