Crazy Victories

Hey everybody I was just wondering wether anyone has a better victory than mine. As in everybody post here saying how much of an underdog you were going into the battle and how you came out on top.

My record is my lone 3 cannons against 7000 Infantry. Somehow I reduced them to 5000 Infantry, won the battle and didn't loose a single cannon!

I've got no idea how it happened. Next battle they entered they got massacred.

I know the cannons are invincible
They are very good at exploring to, so give a conquistador some cannons and when the infantry dies the cannons will continue...

It's not a victory for the human player, rather a defeat...

I lost a battle with more than 40.000 infantry and a leader (Russia) against Babur (Mughals) and his famous 9 cannons early in the game.
I was curious and loaded from an older game... Babur did it again. I hastily decided to make peace before his reinforcement would crush my whole army

The point is: I didn't loose to a moral loss, Babur's artillary actually killed my man before morale broke.

What usually appens with lone cannons is that they flee indefinilty...

Yes it is odd how powerful cannons are in the game. I think that a combined infantry/calvary army can take them out post-haste though!

Well, Babur had also something like 700 infantry soldiers. These were easily killed until he had only his artillary left...

do cannons also not lose to attrition? I can't remember them doing so?

Was your enemy low morale?

They don't suffer much attrition, no

Oh no, cannons can march on on their own for years on end, even in siberia or the desert its not like they need anyone to actually man them, do they?

The last stand . My Dutch army of some 20k were thrown against a Spanish 45k and barely pulled out victorious with 8k left and the Spanish army anhilated.

If you mean in terms of -3,-2,-1,0,1 etc. I can't really remember but I think it was about 2. If you mean strong, disciplined etc. it was strong.

Not very high, about a 4 or 5. It was fairly early on in the game. About 1570 or so.
