Guys, this update will be pretty bad, not in success terms but I lost my history file for 27 years.
Had a CTD, went back to the game started the autosave file, forgot to save the old history.txt, crap, empty history.
Sorry, but I got some notes at least.
1503 or so : Not doing much, mostly trading and trying to keep those rebels at peace.
It's mostly quiet for 10 years or so now, moved my DP towards Offensive Doctrine 2 times, 1505 and 1515.
Feb 1517 : Random event, weapons manufactory in Lombardia.
Sept 1518 : Expands our fortress in Lombardia to level 3, to protect our manufactory.
Our two Popes during this not-so-well-recorded-era have got pretty good stats, Adrianus has got 3/4/2, a bad military man in other words.
Clemens is the one we've got now, pretty good over all, 4/3/3. :
Sept 1523 : Upgrades out fortress in Mantua to level 3, we want our borders kept safe, don't we?
Sometime now, around 1525, we DoW Naples and annexes them after a short siege. Naples is a rich province too, we're earning some 130d annually.
July 1529 : We recruit 6000 infantry and 10000 cavalry to keep our land safe from vicious scum.
Our army now : 38k infantry, 25k cavalry, 42 guns.
January 1530. Crash to Desktop. My first during this AAR.
More during this period : Spain has had a Civil War, in which their government fell, they were forced to protestantism by those evil rebels!! Also, Corsica, Sardinia, Navarra, Portugal, Aragon and Catalunya went independent, Spain were unable to take any land back.
But France jumped in on Catalunya, stealing two provinces in a peace treaty, Rousillon and Gerona! They've also taken Franche Comté from
Burgundy.
Bohemia and Hungary hasn't moved an inch now, our tech is good, we're level with France in land, naval is poor, we've got no navy but our trade is great and infra is going up. Better times are approaching, as only the province of Genoa is left, owned by Lithuania but rebel controlled, we hope they will go independent soon, so we can grab them and finish the Unification. Though we will lack Venice, we'll have to live with that. =(
