The special features of the Papacy are that all Catholic countries get a casus belli against any non-Papal owner of Rome, and against any country at war with the Papal States.

February 11, 1478 : We won a battle against Wurtemberg in Lombardia. Absolute slaughter, we held the higher ground, they never got to our flanks, our fast and numerous cavalry stormed down the hills and slaughtered them. In God's name as usual. =D
March 27, 1478 : Cologne joined the war on the same side as Papal States, Hungary, Teutonic Order and Venice in their war against Bohemia, Magdeburg, Wurtemberg and Münster. At least some nations still consider religion an important issue, unlike other heathens...
April 10, 1478 : We are attacked by hostile armies of Magdeburg in Lombardia. 12k Madeburgers we're beaten in the same fashion as the Bohemians. Minimal losses on our side, maximal on theirs.

May 15, 1478 : We have initiated a siege in Schwyz. We'll try to force them a white peace, we don't want any of their mountain provinces, not yet, we wan't borders that are easy to defend, not a snakey country that easily can be smashed by cutting it off in some directions.
July 4, 1478 : We won a battle against Bohemia in Schwyz. Minor skirmish.
Thank our Heavenly Father for Hungary, they're taking the heaviest punches and have besiged Tirol and Ostmarch, thereby cutting off the Bohemians, which only leaves us with Würtemmberg and Oldenburg to deal with, since Bohemia is busy witrh defending themselves.

A massive 36k army has gone all the way thru Würtemmberg and the Alps, they're putting it all in one battle, if they win they have an open road down to Rome and we'll be beaten, if we win, we can easily make a good peace with them. They offered me 180d, I declined, wanted more, but then they wasted it all on troops, so I only got 70-80 d offers and I did not want to fight a long war.
I've been reading a lot of these AARs and it seems to me that countries are having a lot more trouble staying together. England goes into a Civil War here, as does Castile. In other AARS France does, creating 8 new countries, the Timurid Empire ect. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, I actually like it. Mor realism if you ask me, its difficult to hold a diverse country together after all. So, am I right in this assertion, or do they just seem more frequent?
