I believe it appears if Golden Horde collapses. The EU news aren't accurate, and sometimes you can miss, say, beginnig of the war or conclusion of peace. This might be the case.

I'm not sure if it is possible in EU2 or not, but it would be funny as hell if you confused the Catholic world by converting to Protestant. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that that would make you slightly less liked in italy...but hey, since when has the hand of god cared about public opinion?

You are completely correct. It would be absurd, but I'd still get a kick out of it. I guess if I screw around with the event engine enough, I could make the Papal States change to Hindu. THAT would be absurd. The humor value in it would be well worth it.

A number of bishops in Germany went Protestant and took their territories with them (the later exemption of church lands from the "cuius religio, eius regio" principal was never accepted by Protestants and led to at least one minor war.) It would be immeasurably harder for the Pope to go Protestant and take the Papal states with him, but not impossible...............
...................being able to do it on what would effectively be a whim though would be a little off for EU2-that's an EU fault!

Now, Bohemia is HUGE!! They've taken Hessen, Sachsen, Thüringen, Anhalt, Tirol Salzburg plus their original lands.
Stats : 5% inflation, 240 VP's, tied 5th with Sweden. Bohemia leads, 385 victorypoints.

I've been lucky, instead of having more BB by annexing 3 minors, I just had to annex one and take 2 provinces from another.
Great update... soon Italia will be whole!
