Crashing when hiring Vargarian guard

Playing as roman empire and noticed the vargarian guard is sitting in a province for about 80 years so i switch over to the mercenary group in a save, disband the unit and now each time I load up as the emperor the game will crash as soon as i unpause. I've tried going back to previous saves and it still crashes my game any ideas on how I can resolve this would be appreciated.

In any other save games but those it is not happening? Might actually sound like a bug, could you upload the save-game to somewhere and post it? That way others can check if they get the same issue when running the save-game.

Also to be sure, what is the checksum you see when you start the game in the bottom left-hand side of the menu?
