Crash

The games runs fine the first 30+ years, but as time goes probability for a crash increases. Quting game and loading a save like 30 yers into the game will often lead to a crash with inn months. Still saving and loading, one can 2-3 month before it crash again so it id not a static error, as the game can progres some months ahead of where it crashed.

Vista with all updates. New drivers. Have runed the Dirextc install from the how to from this forum. Tryed to reinstall. Running as admin, XP compability mode.

Update : Last Beta patch helps alot, but still som crash..

First please check for the NoCultureGroup bug as documented here http://www.europa-universalis.com/forum/showthread.php?t=387866

If you are certain that's not your problem, Please run DXDIAG, Save All Info, and post dxdiag.txt here (first delete everything after the Sound Devices section so it will fit). Also post your Rome/settings.txt and Rome/logs/system.log files. Note that if you use Vista/Win7 and have installed the game in the suggested folder c:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Rome\, the active versions of these last two files will have been redirected by Vista/win7 to a non-system directory, like c:\Users\[name]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis - Rome\, where [name] is your Vista/Win7 user name. You may have to search your C: drive for them.
