I believe this one may have something to do with how units in motion that become split will cause the second unit to remain still at the province the unit was moving from. Since this is an invalid declaration for a unit that was retreating (to sit in an enemy province), a crash will ensue.

This may or may not be related to multiplayer.

Testing this brings out the bugs.:(

The game did not crash. I tried just to push the create new unit button and actually making the new unit.

As soon as the button is pushed the province seem to belong to me. The province suddenly comes to my side of the border and i am able to capture his ships in port. I can also choose to improve the province. The hour after that the battle starts and it seems like i'm still the attacker.

For me it seems like all units created during the retreat restart the fight, and they also seem to capture the province although they are not defenders but still attackers.

I tried several times with the same result. it didn't crash.
