Summary​

Crash on Victory Turn

Description​

On the turn where I would trigger Magic Victory, the game crashes right before my turn starts. And it is the victory that causes it, as disabling the Magic Victory spell means the crash does not occur. Crash occurs on the hotfix version as well as the main brach. Graphics changes tried (Vsynch off, settings to low, force fps=60 in Nvidia control panel) have had no effect.

This could be an extension of the general graphics crashes, but the game has otherwise run fine and victory seems directly responsible. As it stands, without being able to read the crash file, this could be unrelated and so I thought it useful to make a separate post.

Somewhat unrelated, but I have uploaded a save file as a zip, but the forum interface currently doesn't allow for the extension-less save files to be simply uploaded, which would likely make the process easier.

Steps to reproduce​

In save file uploaded, end turn. Game will crash during Independent move before the next turn starts.

If the Age of Astral victory spell is disabled, the next turn will not crash.

Update: reloading to before I cast Age of Astral and replaying the victory sequence let me finish the game without crashing, though reloading a few turns prior did not.

I did cast Age of Astral on an owned city the second time rather than on a random hex, though I don't know why that would matter. Obviously there were plenty of other changes over 15 turns which could have mattered.
