I'm using the Mac version of HoI and I have had the same crash twice in the same game. First the problem then the technical details.
I am playing the USA in the 1936 scenario. When I strategically re-deploy an aircraft it simply vanishes. When I find it again it is listed as a submarine, it has a subs's stats but the icon is a plane. The first time I came across the unit on Guam. On the assumption it was a submarine with the wrong icon I sent it out to join a fleet. It bounced back to Guam and then the game crashed and froze. It did not crash to the desktop.
The second time I redeployed a Strat bomber to from Seattle to Norfolk, once again it vanished. This time I found it in a stack of subs in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. When I clicked on the icon the game crashed and froze again.
I am using HoI for Mac version 1.05c, no Mods just the vanilla version for now. My computer is an iMac G3 with 320MB of RAM and and a 350 MHz processor and I'm still using OS 9.2. I have to give the program a ton of extra RAM but I can usually get a pretty good game before things slow down to much and become frustrating.
Can anyone give me some advice? I've looked through the known bug reports but can't find this one anywhere.
