I just tried to start my first game with the Livy update and can't get past the lobby. It worked perfectly before but I've been told the issue is most likely that my MacBook Pro's Intel integrated graphics aren't supported, and some new animation has prevented me from playing the game. If this is an issue that is going to be fixed it would be fine, but it seems as though an update has permanently stopped me from playing a game I payed for. Does Paradox have any plans to change this or are they just screwing over me and other Mac users with the Livy update?

The game is not and never has been supported on Intel video hardware on any OS. It was sheer luck it ran on Intels on Mac before the 1.3 patch, as the game is not tested on unsupported hardware.
Your options are:
- boot the Mac into Apple Bootcamp if you have that installed, as the issue does not exist under Windows
- run on another Mac with a supported video system
- run on a Windows or Linux machine if you have access to those
- revert the game to 1.2 in the Steam Betas tab for this game, as that should still work.
- seek a refund from wherever you purchased the game

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately none of those are really viable options at the moment (except reverting to 1.2 but I'm not keen on that). It would have been good if the game hadn't worked in the first place so I could get a refund from Steam but I suppose if its not tested on unsupported hardware then there's nothing Paradox could do about that. I was half planning on saving up for a gaming PC to play Mount and Blade 2 anyway so I've got some extra incentive now. Hopefully I'll be back to playing in a month or two 
GeForce GTX 775m is also unsupported? It is a card with better performance than AMD Radeon R9 M380, given as a minimum. Why did IR stop working on iMac with this card?

I don't know in detail, but it is older of course. If you are on MacOS 10.13.x or earlier you can use the proprietary nVidia drivers for it, which may get it going for you.
